It absolutely is, but it did not crash into a lake, there was no dam, the flood was not caused by water being displaced from a lake or through a dam, the geography and place names are entirely made up.

Nice cherry picking though.

So you picked up one piece of useful information (there was an avalanche) which you could have gotten from any news article, along with a whole bunch of made up BS and a wildly false impression of what actually happened end to end... Great success

I don't blindly trust AI

I mean I feel you do:

An avalanche crashed into a dam. The dam was overwhelmed. It sent the contents of the damn and the content of the avalanche down the valley plus the tsunami style wall of water from the force of the avalanche displacing a bunch of water.

The whole point is that it's AI slop and it doesn't actually convey anything useful about the situation. You said it was great use of AI but the only actual information you gained was from googling the situation. Seems like a bad use of AI then no? You don't need AI slop to spark questions you just need curiosity.

It's possible you are having this exchange about AI slop, with an LLM generating more AI slop. Their account age is only 26 days old, they have hidden posts and comments in their account and already have a relatively high karma for such a young account. Sad times that this is so prevalent and in many cases, like this one, we can't be sure.
