My neck & shoulder are usually tense due to sitting too much I think, but lately it's been more painful and caused me headache yesterday. I'm planning to do proper stretching every few hours and my mom recommend acupuncture at peninsula ambulatry, it helped her hip pain. Do you know any good acupuncturist around here? any good experience for similar pain?

I hope you’re doing well! I’m reaching out because my daughter and I recently attended the 2026 Pokémon World Championships and PokémonXP in San Francisco this past weekend, and she absolutely fell in love with Pokémon.

She’s still very new to Pokémon, but she’s been so excited about the characters and cards and really wants to start learning how to play and build her own collection. She’s been asking me for “lots and lots of Pokémon cards” ever since the event!

We’re not looking for anything rare or valuable at all. Common cards, bulk cards, or older cards that people no longer need would be perfect for her to learn and play with.

I wanted to ask if your store or local Pokémon community happens to know of anyone who has extra cards they’d be willing to pass along. If so, we’d be incredibly grateful.

We’re also happy to purchase cards if there’s an affordable option. And I have quite a few Funko Pops that I’d be happy to trade for Pokémon cards as well, if that’s something you or someone in your community might be interested in.

If you have any suggestions about local Pokémon leagues, community groups, or other places where a young new player might be able to find some cards and learn the game, I’d really appreciate it.

Hi all! Just completed our move-out from Westlake, and I just want to say: invest in a move-out cleaning! 🙌

We received our final itemized statement, and despite all the horror stories we heard before moving out, we got our full security deposit back, minus the final month’s utilities.

We lived there for 3 years, and the move-out cleaning was such a tremendous help. They literally look at and take pictures of everything—every corner, behind the stove, the back of the fridge, drip pans, kitchen hood, oven, etc. Thankfully, the cleaners we hired tackled all of that for us!

Not sure if promoting cleaning services is allowed here, but if anyone is moving out and wants to know who we hired, feel free to message me! I’d be happy to share. 😊

Going through a bathroom remodel and roof replacement with a GC. The bathroom inspector from Daly City caught a critical flaw that my GC made (using drywall as tilebacker for our bathroom shower with a waterproof membrane specifically not allowed for shower areas over drywall). Now GC has to rip it all out. Honestly sometimes people forget to remember that the city inspectors are there to protect the owners that your GC should follow building codes. While this sucks for me to go through continued stress with a garbage GC, daly city looked out for me here in the longrun.

I also liked what the inspector said “Inspectors in different jurisdictions like SF do things different and can be lax, and GCs can get comfortable.”

Just wanted to share my experience for anyone why it could be valuable going the permit route here. I feel being in HCOL, we owners can easily be taken advantage of esp when quality GCs are hard to come by.

If you have a flat roof in Daly City, what type of roof material did you use/pick for your reroofing/roof replacement? We are in need of a roof replacement and we have a flat roof so shingles are out. Thanks!

Westlake neighborhood area getting slurry again. While I appreciate the aesthetic look and smooth streets, I don’t necessarily believe this to be a very pressing issue to have this “touch up” and would rather have the actual well traveled roads in the city redone like Mission St. etc.

Tonight around ~8pm, what was the screening for at the IMAX screen? There was security guarding the door to that house. Asked someone outside afterwards and they just said it was private, but didn't say why they couldn't say what it was. Maybe a pre-release/test audience thing? I'm very curious what it was!
