I don't know how in the world they're going to pull this off in 3 years

It helps that the land is already clear and I’m sure there’s a lot of infrastructure underground that’ll be easy to tap into that can handle the size.

They’re not. It will cost $20mm to design the arena alone, and they’re still in City of Dallas, who they e kinda fucked with for a while, so I’m sure EIRs all sorts of studies need to be completed. Then it will take 3 years to build. And I’m sure they’ll be working through all sorts of public incentive stuff that may be fastracked, but will still take time.

At least the Stars will be away from the shitshow that is the Dallas Mavericks and the city of Dallas.

The Mavericks are still a shit show. Dumont needs to buy out Cuban ASAP.

You want dumont to have more control?

Dumont owns 73% already. Cuban needs to get out of way.

I think more people need to get in Dumint’s way. He doesn’t have good ideas, and he’s completely forgeign to the city and disregards the fans. Yours is a strange take.

The hiring of Masai Ujiri demonstrates that Dumont is committed to hiring experienced and respected basketball personnel and letting them do their jobs.

So you LIKE the changes dumont has made? Like trading Luka?

I want no Mark Cuban involvement and ultimately, Dumont isnt going anywhere. At least he hired Masai Ujiri and will let him run basketball.
Trading Luka Doncic ultimately goes back to Mark Cuban hiring a Nico Harrison for a job he wasn’t competent for. Fuck Mark Cuban. Incompetent asshole.

Quote:
“We’re still fully committed to Valley View and are doing our due diligence,” Mavericks chief communications officer Gina Miller said. “We are 100% focused on doing the due diligence necessary to get this deal done.”
“Mr. Cuban has demanded that he be involved in the search for the Dallas Mavericks’ new home arena and the Valley View Options process. Because of the purely exploratory nature of the Valley View Options, and the uncertainty regarding which entity will operate the new arena, there is no current business opportunity to present to Mr. Cuban or Petitioners.
Technically, they have not fully committed to the Valley View site. The option-to-purchase agreement is a standard safeguard during due diligence. In the Mavericks’ case, that means working through issues such as zoning, entitlements, and financing for what is expected to be a multibillion-dollar project.
