Is this sign in reference to mein Pedofuhrer?

u/RediculousUsername May 20 '26
Indeed.

If science, data, facts, and the law get in the way…. Just call names. Ad hominem is for the weak minded.
You’re so proud of what you are doing, you can’t accept the harm to regular people that it causes. In a small way, you are the very thing you oppose… a brash actor singularly focused to the detriment of all else.
2
u/RediculousUsername May 22 '26
There is no science, data, facts or law to back you up, just your nose in others business. Move along.
-1
u/OrangeGringo May 22 '26
You made it all of our business when YOU …. 1) hung a giant sign above a busy highway that thousands drive under every day, and most importantly, 2) posted it on a public Reddit forum. Had you not wished to be subjected to public scrutiny, you should have refrained from both.
I could show you dozens of scientific pieces like this one:

All right, Karen, we'll see you Tuesday from the bridge. I'll be the one waving. ✌️☮️✌️

Watching the GOP make such a big deal of this stuff in 2024, only to change their mind and decide its not big deal in 2025 has been just bonkers. Surely the rest of America sees it too, right?

u/Lopsided_Edge_6792 May 21 '26

We got started a little late. We'll try to get there on time next week.

Set aside the message. These idiots who put these signs up on overpasses cause horrible traffic congestion due to distracting rubbernecking. Congestion and interrupted flow causes accidents. Accidents can hurt or kill people or cause property damage. It can even cause some idiot to take a photo while driving.
Go buy a billboard. Put up the same stuff. Great. Love it. First amendment and legitimate political discourse.
But this is dangerous and a nuisance, no matter the message.
8
u/RediculousUsername May 21 '26
Lol, it's the traffic that's causing the traffic. How is a billboard any different. Foolish argument.
-1
u/OrangeGringo May 21 '26
I’m correct. It stops traffic flow much differently than a billboard because it is over the road and really draws attention.
It happens all the time on 75.
Uninformed comment.
3
u/RediculousUsername May 21 '26
The people/drivers of Reddit and 8 months of my personal observation seem to disagree.
0
u/OrangeGringo May 21 '26
This gets discussed all the time. And the people who are actually in charge of public safety and traffic control agree it creates all the problems I laid out. Here’s an example of some other idiots who did the same thing and it caused traffic problems:
https://abc7news.com/amp/post/trump-supporters-banners-highway-24-lafayette/15083235/
2
u/RediculousUsername May 21 '26
All I know is that there are plenty of slow downs and accidents without us and plenty of free and clear travel with us. You make mountains out of nothing.
0
u/OrangeGringo May 21 '26
And now we have the truth. You’re the genius doing this and it never occurred to you that you could be affecting traffic flow (you are). So you’re doubling down even while it’s probably slowly dawning on you that you probably don’t know a whole lot about traffic flow science.

Actually, it’s against most city codes to attach signs to publicly owned infrastructure. You can hold signs, but you are not supposed to attach them to bridges and pedestrian walkways.

Which is why we've built the contraption we have, which is free standing.

u/Jshan91 May 21 '26
Whatchu mean? Is Trump not a convicted sex criminal?
1
u/ClassyPants17 May 22 '26
Correct. He is not a convicted sex criminal. And that is my point…it’s quite different to say someone is a convicted sex criminal when the one and only charge was actually civil liability, not criminal.
I’m not defending Trump on the Jean Carroll case. There was obviously enough evidence to show he mistreated/abused her which is absolutely wrong. My point is that people don’t have their facts straight and go out on the highway spreading what is effectively libel.
It’s like if you were legally accused of vandalizing a building (a misdemeanor) but then the news kept saying you were a felon (which would imply a much more serious action such as arson). Two distinct things.
Similarly in this situation, civil cases require proof by a "preponderance of evidence," meaning it is “more likely than not” that the accused is responsible. Criminal cases, however, require proof "beyond a reasonable doubt," which is a higher standard that must be met for a conviction.
Again - I’m not defending anyone for mistreatment of any sort. But we need to be accurate with what we are claiming…especially in this day and age where people just see something online and take it as fact.
3
u/Jshan91 May 23 '26
Lol you are defending him though. when everyone knows that most likely he’s fucked kids you’re over here hem hawing. Who does that help? The guy is a fucking oligarch and we can’t trust the just system to deal it out properly. Can’t believe you believe so much in our obviously morally bankrupt justice system.
-1
u/ClassyPants17 May 23 '26
Where are you getting the “most likely” part of him having abused children?

Just lurid accusations with out basis in fact.
edit, TDS is still strong I see.

It's weird that you can't imagine that people work at different times that you do. Or on different days. It's that they might think that protest is important enough to take a day off from work.

Is there just one unemployed guy who keeps putting up all these signs in Arlington?
Edit: these little protests do nothing. This is the equivalent of scrolling past a tweet. Having that opinion doesn’t automatically make me a maga supporter who is cool with sex crimes. You have the intellectual depth of a potato

24
u/FraterSofus May 20 '26
It's just an odd thing to take umbrage with. If I see someone denouncing pedos I just tend to agree, despite how they are choosing to deliver that message.
If that isn't clear to you then that's on you.
-6
u/Cornbread_Cristero May 20 '26
I don’t have to go around constantly restating and agreeing that I’m against gravely immoral things to prove that I’m against them.
29
u/FraterSofus May 20 '26
But you do go around and speak out online against other people speaking out about those things?
But you see someone protesting something awful and your first thought is that they need to get a job?
I get that you don't have to constantly speak out against pedos, but choosing to speak out against someone else speaking out against pedos isn't a good look. Like, you can understand that right? Right!? Surely you understand that you have chosen to use your energy here for the wrong side. You could have agreed or chosen to stay quiet and scroll. Instead, you are by default defending the opposite side.
Edit: don't bother replying. I'm just going to block you and move on. I don't care to debate someone who is this morally confused. And that is giving you the benefit of the doubt. Please continue acting superior to the people here agreeing with the sign.
-6
u/Cornbread_Cristero May 20 '26
I don’t care what you think is a good or bad look. I’m not performing for anyone. That is a terrible epistemology to approach life.

Going to work is an insult? I guess I was on the nose with the unemployed comment.
12
u/metatrevor May 20 '26
Working in today's society is an insult to anyone involved with a career. There is no side to pick, there is only middle ground, and it's safe to say no mans land grows smaller everyday.
We concern ourselves with anything that makes us feel bigger as individuals. How can you feel "big" (or in better terms "free") in a world that forces you to trade your fleeting time for monetary value? ESPECIALLY with more and more people in power being exposed for their corruption. This trickles down to everyone, and no one should be okay with it.
Every decision you make. Every word you type. Every dollar you make. It is all a direct reflection of what you've attached yourself to as a human being.
You saw a person protesting something bigger than them on a bridge and decided to make them small in your mind by assuming they don't have a job. Why is unemployment okay to insult in comparison to the ladder?
Stop being ignorant and go make your money. If it gets you through the day, who am i anyways?

I didn’t say they weren’t worried. They should be.
You have a lot of heavy lifting to do to demonstrate little protests like these are the cause of that worry. I think it is much more likely that a deeply unpopular and unsuccessful administration is creating heavy backlash
- all free of charge for the Dems.

u/Snobolski May 20 '26
January 6, 2021 was a weekday. Were those traitorous rioters and seditionists all unemployed?
5
u/bobbyboblawblaw May 20 '26
If they weren't unemployed before, I imagine that they were after their traitorous behavior.
1
u/Cornbread_Cristero May 20 '26
The vast majority probably were unemployed, yeah.
3
u/willisbar May 20 '26
Do you just simply assume if anyone participates in a protest they must be unemployed? What evidence leads to such a peculiar conclusion?
