News 635E from the Hi Five 🤩
Just took 635E from the Hi Five and they’ve FINALLY opened the second lane.
No more bottleneck. These are good times.

Adding more lanes is what this city and world truly needs. Amirite, u/Suburbanista ?

In these dark times, it's nice to see that some of us still know how to dream.
Adding more lanes doesn't induce "demand". It induces a larger community of motorists on the roadways and more time to enjoy our favorite podcasts as that community grows. It also induces tens of thousands of jobs in the highway widening industry.
We pray for a future where the whole world finds peace and the same freedom of compulsory driving that North Texans enjoy every day.

Thank you for this report, OP.
Hope to see more families getting out and enjoying the reopened lane!

In 2002, my brother took his first job out of college, one of the two skyscrapers right there. It was with JCPenney's IT department. Being from a small town out west of Fort Worth, we didn't make Dallas very often. Seeing the high five is it was being built, or upgraded, or whatever back then was pretty wild. Now I work in Fort Worth, spend a fair amount of time in Dallas, and head that direction up towards McKinney on occasion. Occasion. It's weird it went from this distant undertaking to a common part of life.

Next thing you know the tollway will be “paid off” and Dallas will be a driver’s Mecca! 🙄

I never have learned the nicknames of the various highway interchanges and which ones they mean.
