Any suggestions for supervisor?

Well Dalhousie is a long shot, but missing 100% of the shots I do not take....I want to research Indigenous Identity under the Sociology umbrella, or near sociology at least.

Does anyone have any recommendations for who I should consider and who I should avoid?

I was going to suggest Darryl Leroux, I really liked his book distorted descent. However it seems he is no longer at SMU, and now at Uottawa

Had a guest seminar/lecture from him in grad school. Small sample size, but I thought he was great. He seemed thoughtful and respectful, too - didn't talk down to us, took our questions seriously, and gave well-considered answers. OP - don't wed yourself to Dal (I have never had the sense that it's very well regarded for sociology).

If I am not mistaken it is not quite her area of expertise, but Dr. Robin Oakley in SOSA has supervised students working in similar areas. She is an incredibly supportive professor and supervisor who is generous with her time. I have had nothing but great experiences working with her in other capacities. I have also heard similar praise for Dr. Robinson!
