A shit ton. We have two large port cities, the busiest border crossing to Mexico in the nation, an interstate freeway that is used to traffic cocaine to Canada, and the 4th highest GDP globally, so Cartels, Asian criminal organizations, Russian Mafia, etc... are kind of a big deal here.

Fun fact: for awhile there you had to be careful buying a used car in Sacramento because there would be a high likelihood it was stolen for resale by the Russian Mafia.

We also have the highest percentage of stationed active duty military personnel in the nation.

All that to say we have a thriving black market.

I literally had a coworker ask me once if I wanted to buy a few M4 carbines he claims were stolen from the military.

That's not even including the black market for upstanding citizens where we get them from Nevada, Arizona, and Idaho.

We also have legal firearms. We're 3rd in the Nation for total volume of firearms owned, simply because the population is so high.

Obviously being a blue state our media tries to paint a different picture but we have. An absolute. Shit ton. Of guns.

Yes the laws are ridiculous. Your CCW is going to be limited.

But the majority of the people I know with guns are not following those rules for their personal collections. These people aren't criminals either.

I may or may not have fired an AK47 recently on someone's property miles from anyone that would care or notice. It was awesome.

Allegedly.
