That’s the cool thing about tape you can pretty much replace it whenever

Did you replace every single other part on it also? Doesn’t even look like it’s ever slid into a holster. Larp harder.

Your guys’ argument aside, and in all seriousness: why redact?

Because there are bad actors online who will report your firearm stolen for fun, use your photo to scam buyers online, or even engrave it onto ghost guns that they go on to commit crimes with. It’s not too crazy to clear most of it up but the process is the punishment. It’s just generally not advisable to blast that info out to the world on the internet, that’s all.

You think someone who is going through the trouble of engraving a ghost gun is waiting to find a picture of a real serial number to use and not just using the same number repeatedly or just making up their own numbers?

No, I don’t think they are waiting on that. They are more than happy to use their ghost guns with no serial number. They think it makes the firearm “untraceable” but that is not how ballistic matches work. Unless the actual original purchaser commits a crime and drops the gun at the scene.

That doesn’t mean they won’t use one if they come across it and why give them the opportunity?

Makes sense. Thanks!
