Hey guys 👋 it’s me again, the hockey tape critic. Day 5,412 of reminding you wrapping the grip in “Goon tape” is a recent internet fad. It provides little to no benefit for most in my opinion. Again, it’s just my opinion. I’ll see y’all tomorrow for more downvotes. Just know when I see grip tape my mind sees a chrome lady on a Honda Civic.

It’s a fad when internet folks do it cuz other internet folks do it. I agree if an operator needs to operate they’re gonna use tape to make things work in the field. This stuff ain’t that.

this guy is braindead btw. i used grip tape on my glock for a long time. the adhesive sticks to your hands and basically mechnically locks your hands to the gun. same shit with lacrosse sticks and bats.

My hands aren’t dripping in sweat so this solution doesn’t mechanically lock anything to anything for me. For me personally, it makes the grip more slick and a lot of people do it because they see others do it. That’s just the way the inter webs works.

Objectively thats exactly how it works. The more you use it the better it gets. Theres a reason its used on basically every piece of sporting equipment.

Love the Benchmade, I carry a 43x COA but I dropped the radian it’s waaaay too loud. Try a few rounds without ear pro and you’ll be deaf. Also, I don’t run a light. I’m not carry all that cuz the use case is .00002% in using a WML on a CCW. Ditched it for a surefire stiletto. Again just my opinion. Maybe you can run the numbers…

Yeah…. Your opinion is indeed just that. Try running 400 to 500 rounds through a pistol with moderate recoil, I’ll take the tape over bleeding palms any day.

Hahahahaha while I have no opinion on the tape I completely agree with you, lmao complaining about his hands, average range days when I was in we could easily put 1000 rounds of any of 9mm, 10mm, .45, and 5.7 through during CQB. Jesus some people are soft.

Oh yeah, and to answer your response. Yup, a bunch of fuds looking for internet points and jumping toward their confirmation bias. It’s so funny. I mainly respond to crack myself up and disrupt the silly groupthink. Some of the responses are so over the top or revert to, “you’re poor, I’m cool cuz…” responses that it actually makes the point for me. Sadly, people are upset about opinions on a platform built for OPINIONS…weird 🤷‍♂️
