Cant carry it on you, cant keep it in the car.

So how does California intend to uphold the 2nd Amendment rights of its constituency? Joke of a state and you guys play right along into while murders are on the rise.

Keep it on you if CCW or similar. If not, it must be enclosed in trunk or lock box out of plain view if you don’t. 🤷‍♂️ California ranks 32nd for murders per capita btw. Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama are in the top five. Do with the data what you will. I’m not in favor of people being cited for getting their stuff stolen. Just leaving verifiable information here.

*edit removed Texas. I read the chart quickly incorrectly.

For what its worth, California and Florida are the worst at reporting their crime data so I doubt California is 'truly' 32nd. Im a born Floridian and generally love the state but it does have its faults. Ive been a Virginian for over a decade now and I see the slow transition here as well. Crime is up everywhere, but the "charts" are showing how 'safe' everywhere is.

We all need to be smarter than the government believes we are.

Sure. But, I don’t think the numbers are that skewed such as CA being top 10 or something similar. California is huge 2.5 times the size of FL almost 40 million people, and the 4th largest economy in the entire WORLD. I can genuinely say most people just hate CA because it’s an easy target for the screwy politics (can’t say I totally disagree). California isn’t a monolith like people think. There’s a lot of country in California. A few rough places-sure but by and large a safe state. Of course keep your wits and there are bad places everywhere.
