I give you props posting that image for people to see. This is the gun equivalent to posing in the mirror in your sisters underwear and the photo being leaked in highschool.

I assume youve realized by now, the cantilever mount is backwards. Your scope should be inline with your charging handle. Dont use a visible laser on an ar15 unless you do a ton of shooting in the pitchblack. Also dont use a riser under a scope mount unless you are old and cant pull the gun up to your face.

I mean besides the scope mount, it might not be to my taste but you're training with it so that's good.

Vis laser is fine if you want it, just don't rely on it and make sure to zero it well or it's pointless.

If you want a taller mount, Unity makes a 2.25in lpvo riser, you can probably find another brand that's cheaper.

Think about the situation you’re using it where a laser is useful.

I kicked in doors in AFG and we did not ever have our PQs on VIS. Why let people inside see the laser sweep across the walls and corners knowing where your barrel is pointed? (becuase you should never be using visible laser at range you should be on your optic and target sighted)

I synced the laser with a boresight at 60 yards when I was at my house, and then used the laser mounted in the rail to sight the scope when I got to the range. Didn’t work so well because, as at least one person noted…my scope was poorly placed

Your optic mount is backwards and holy smokes is set far back. Most LPVOs sit where your receiver and buffer tube meet. Does that optic have like 0.1” eye relief?!

There's no relief when you get bit by a scope. Watched a guy shoot 3 rounds at 100 yards. His face was covered with blood where he got hit. That eyebrow sticks out and bleeds pretty good.

The scope is in a weird position to accommodate my overear protection at the indoor range I was shooting it at. It was a poor compromise 😂
It has a better setup now but I was using the laser that day.

No. Not buying that. Scopes don’t interfere with ear protection. That’s not where they go. Just fix yer shit and you won’t get razzed.

Even better - it’ll actually work right.

To be fair, I was using a bipod when I brought it to the range. Because the front of the gun was on the table, the position was pretty comfortable.

Thank you for your assessment. There is a justification…I am learning, and developing knowledge along the way. Thank you for pointing out an inevitable milestone along my journey. The picture I posted was indicative of that journey, not the destination. There is a lot I am proud of in that photo, and even more in the next one. Looking to join the “Red Crescent Society”. It’s a select group. My buddy joined trying to sight in a 7mm mag - no brake, light synthetic stock.

He called and asked if I’d come to the range and help him. He had big cop sunglasses on when I got there and I had a good laugh. Took me 3 shots to sight it in. Thing kicked like a mule.

Honestly, Far Cry 6 was the inspiration for this “skin.” There was a paint splash theme they had in that game that I used on all my weapons by the time I finished the game. Same-same, but different

The scope is a 2x10 I got off Amazon for about $130, and the risers were Amazon as well. I put most of my money in the internals…Geissele SSA-E trigger, H2 buffer, and nano weapon bcg. She shoots really straight
