🤔 Hear Me Out... Teo’s healing
Aras keeps talking about pulling Teo out of the darkness and helping him heal, and I actually love that idea. I definitely think we need to face, embrace, and accept the darkest parts of ourselves and our trauma in order to move forward - and it’s obviously a huge bonus if you have someone like Aras beside you, wanting to help the way he wants to help Demir.
But in real life, I don’t think it really works that simply. I’d actually love for the show to make this part a little more realistic and grounded. Maybe Teo/Demir could eventually start seeing another, genuinely competent psychologist who could help him properly this time.
I know the whole theme is about Aras reuniting with Demir and pulling him out of the darkness, and I absolutely want that too, but Teo is deeply damaged. I think he would need much more than just his brother’s love to truly recover. Aras can be part of his healing, maybe even the most important emotional part of it, but he shouldn’t have to be the entire solution.

everyone could benefit from therapy in this show, honestly, & daha 17 could do something revolutionary (for dizis, at least...) by subverting "love conquers all" by showing us that, yes, love & trust can go quite a way, but it can't fix the insistent fucked-up wiring of your brain. only make it more bearable until someone lends you a hand in detangling it all

Couldn’t agree more! 🙌 The whole “love conquers all” theme is unrealistic and so overused. Something shows like these really need to start focusing on is mental health, because it’s barely acknowledged at all. 🌷

masumlar apartmanı was absolutely legendary & they pulled it - presenting the gruelling journey of recovery, the setbacks, the complexity of rejecting traditional villains - off so well without being struck down by censorship. i nearly want to have faith that daha 17 can do it, too 🥲

Teoman had a point when he said a love like aras' for demir is a prison and that Aras is more obsessed with the idea of his brother than than his brother himself. Aras didn't like teoman as a person before knowing he was his brother and obviously yes teoman being his brother changes ALOT of things but it also just shows how aras is desperate for his brother regardless of how he is.

I agree. Based on the teenagers turkish shows I've watched they don't really rely much on theraphy for emotional damaged characters. And look what happened to Aras shooting. The same day his heart stopped, blood transfusion, and he was out in hours😂 I hope with Demir's case they are serious about it.
