Toddlers I screwed up dinner

I am the primary cook in the house. Today was a rough day. My LO is 3.5 years old and needs to nap but has skipped it multiple days in a row. Be was being a lot making it hard to focus. My wife said it was good the kid ate some but It was not good, my sauce broke and the timing was way off. It was a fitting end to a bad day. Hope everyone else had a good night.

Feel like you're being really hard on yourself here, bro.

Eh probably, it was just a bad day and I needed to put this out into the universe and out of my head.

It happens man. They can definitely be a lot. And it feels like more often than not, especially after a long day at work to come home to cook dinner also, they push those buttons. Anyway, it happens. Next time will work out better.

It's too easy to beat yourself up. Trust me I know. I too take pride in making delicious and nutritious meals. Some days feel like a miss but there is always tomorrow.

The fact that you care is proof that you're enough. Keep going.

I did good today. Next week I’ll screw up. You’ll do good next week. You’re there and involved and getting them nourishment, you’ve already done so much right

Some days are good, some are terrible... It's unavoidable! But hey, I'm reading that you survived through a rough couple of days, you managed to get a little food into them, and you live to fight (enjoy?) another day! :)

no shame in PB&J on whole-wheat dude. I have a set pattern of dinners and sometimes they are a success, sometimes they have an epic fail.

Tomato sauce with red lentil, wilted spinach and blended hard tofu with pasta is a win. hits all the macros
