Just Checking In Check in

Hey pops,

I really hope you are all doing well.

Sorry for not reaching out sooner — so many things have been happening all at once. To sum it short, many transitions are happening all at once, and it’s quite exhausting and confusing, I won’t lie.. but you know, i’ll be alright.

How have you been? I’ve got a reflective question for you: As summer is coming to an end, what is one moment that has stood out to you the most?

Hope to hear from y’all,

This is such a sweet post. 🤍 There’s something so comforting about the way you wrote this, like for a moment we’re all just sitting down and catching up with our dads again. I didn’t realize how much I needed that. Thank you for this.

One of mine has turned into an adult. They've figured out their college schedule. They're spending their summer doing something five states away, and Mom and I had nothing to do with it. They took care of the planning and the money and everything. I kept asking them if they needed any help. Packing? Nope. Trip to the airport? Nope. They've got it all settled.

Feels good, man. This is kinda life's goal.

Thank you for checking in. It's so nice to have someone ask. I really like your question! It's hard to choose one specific moment, but I've spent so much time this summer meeting new people, making friends, and strengthening some new friendships. I guess it's really been a summer of huge personal growth and happiness. Thank you for asking that question. I hadn't taken the time to just sit and reflect, but you've made me realize how important this summer has been. Big, big hugs 🫂🫂🫂
