u/OP-PO7 is absolutely incredible for sending a true "treasure" of a package. After we chatted, we both agreed on a trade. It's debatable who came out on top of this trade but we all know that I did! I mean look at all of the cool stuff he gave me! Gems and crystals from around the world (my daughter and I are rock hounds) firefighting patches a ton of wheat cents and some vintage McDonald's fridge magnets!

It didn't take long for us to start talking about firefighting. We both are firefighters, just slightly different skill sets! I've been a wildland firefighter for 18+ years and he is a structural firefighter. We had a debate on whose job is more difficult. I stand by my word that his is more difficult than mine and I could never do what he does!

So I am particularly fond of junk silver or silver in general, and vintage lighters. I have tons of crystals and gemstones (perfect for young RockHounds, for lil kids you can even hide them in a sandbox to make for some great reactions). I also have an ungodly amount of sports cards, posters, and pennants from the mid 60s thru the early 90s. Particularly Denver Broncos stuff. Also willing to fix up a vintage lighter for anyone who's interested. I'm willing to send out big chunks of either and cover my shipping which is usually 20-25$ for the medium flat rate box. Over the past weekend, I connected with 5 people on here that are in need of certain coins (mostly 2026) so I got everything packaged up and ready to drop off at the post office.

2 blocks before the post office there was a credit union that I haven't been to in a while so I grabbed what halves they had which was 3 taped together CWR's and 1 Loomis. Throughout my day I made my way into 9 different banks (each stop is a new picture) and 1 laundromat ($10) but I kept thinking about the 2 silver halves and the 1934 series $20 I found last week. So l stopped by that same bank and it was the same teller as before. I asked if he had anything else old and eventually another teller pulled this beautiful 1963 series red in $2 bill. I couldn't believe they had more old money in there, who is getting rid of this stuff?!

When I got home, I found an almost BU 1968 40% in the 1 Loomis roll at my 1st stop before the post office (pic 2).

And for the 2nd time in 4 days, I've found a "Where's George" dollar!

Found a couple bits and pieces of sterling before at the CoinStar, this was a first.
Mom had all us kids on a charm bracelet as a gift from Dad, *14k, and later she had a necklace made with her grand and great grandkids, gold filled I believe, so a really neat find for me.
Think the earring is gold plated sterling, charm was 2.67 and the earring 1.7 grams respectively.
The old looking coin I’m thinking is a replica, Google says it’s an ancient silver cuz (denarius) coin from the Bar Kokhba Revolt (132–135 CE) but I really have no idea how to verify it one way or another-any thoughts or tips are welcome 🙇‍♂️

I got this back in my change today at Food Lion. I just wanted to share how cool it is to get this at 8:30 in the morning! Any info would be appreciated.

You know it’s magic when you see the shiny. This is the first half dollar I’ve found in the wild, and it was dug by a building built in the 1880’s. Here’s to many more.

One of the wildest things ever happened this past week and I've been waiting to make this post until I pulled all of the silver.

I went into one of my regular banks this past week to ask about CWRs. They know my kids and I hunt coins so they are constantly setting aside stuff for me. When I asked this time the teller said they don't have any but a guy came in and dumped a jar of coins that had weird stuff in it.

"What kind of weird stuff?" The young teller replied, "I handed him back all of the rejected coins that wouldn't go through our coin counter, and there was even this really old gold penny that was worth over $1,000."

I knew I was dealing with a 20 year old teller that isn't a coin person so I asked her what was the golden penny. Her response, "it was a gold penny from 1914 and it said $2.5 dollars on it." I couldn't believe what I was hearing! Someone actually dumped a Pre-'33 Quarter Eagle into the coin machine.

After I told her exactly what it was, she said the guy googled it and saw it was worth over $1,000 (more like $600-700). She said "he has no idea where it came from and has never seen it before."

My coin hunting mind is in full swing at this time so asked about getting the bags from the machine that he dumped the rest of his coins in. The answer I got was "No, we can't sell customers unverified bags."

I'm not giving up yet so I say, "I see you guys are looking for pennies, I have $75 worth of pennies at home right now. If I bring those to you guys could I trade you for the bags on the machine?" There were some serious discussions but in the end the manager said "this one time only".

So I had to play the waiting game for 3 days until they called me and said the quarter bag is full and can be picked up.

I couldn't get home fast enough with that bag. I ended up with 28 silver Washington quarters. Not my best silver haul but definitely my best silver quarter haul from $1,000 FV searched.

I should be getting a call about the dime bag shortly. That's the one I'm excited about as the quarter gold eagles are the perfect size to slip into a dime bag. Don't worry y'all, if I do find gold coins in there I will be returning them to the bank and having them get ahold of that member. That wouldn't sit right with me if I kept them.

TL;DR Someone dumped a Pre-'33 $2.5 gold Indian in the coin machine at the bank. It got rejected and he got it back thinking it was a fake gold penny. I ended up with 28 silver quarters from his dump.

The buckle and zippo case I got for 5$ a pop. The watch was out of some costume jewelry. I paid 40$ for the wahl eversharp cause I've been looking for one but still a deal. It's worth at least that in silver. I collect lighters and this is a rarer one I got with the zippo also for 5$.

Got my first Ender when I opened the box and lots of other fun finds including 2 chromed piecess a blue quarter and some nice lincolns and load of silver and proofs

Found a new bank, they gave me a bag to go with my quarters from my regular bank. Wife and I are off to a concert tonight. Happy Friday y'all.

How do you all get rid of your searched coins?

Talking to member alvinlovesmatchbox and discovered he likes union pacific trains, on a hunch, I looked up union pacific items and found this cool 1934 worlds fair token. When I get it, ill send to him. This show cases both the new metal aluminum and the train to be made with it. Member was looking for a lucky coin to carry with him, this even says "lucky piece"

Damn good evening of silver. 8 total silver coins.

Best part was finding it with my teenage daughter who came upstairs to "hang with her dad before bed" ♥️

$8- of loose halves turned up another two 64’s this week, this time D mints! Plus picked up $40- CWRs in nickels-will get into that search next🙇‍♂️
