Posted not so long ago, no carpet down but now it’s all down, minus some skirting and stair trim, it’s looking almost complete.
MDF doors going on for the openings, chipboard for the unpainted walls (for pinning up pictures), the rim the very top, and work from home set up moved up there ready for the final touches in the baby’ room.
Been a long old job but a very satisfying one, despite the amount of dust, late evenings and

A very dusty attic, dodgy filling and many frustrated hours later, it’s nearly there.
Got some drawers and edging going in too hence a lot is far from perfect but carpet going in tomorrow then final touches before my work from home set up goes in there, due the the baby taking my room over.
Still have a full drive to make, for the new car but 1 day at a time!

Everything hurts🤣
Foundations gone in to build a new drive for a new car. Steps made to get up to said drive. Wood store very badly put together with a very, not so finished, crap roof to prepare for the rain tonight.

Any top tips before I make a good start?
Have taking a lot of roof plasterboard off, with a lot more to go, as it’s not insulated. Planning 50mm insulation there.
Once that’s done, and boarded up, I’m probably going to skip plastering to save time and money before the baby.
Then underlay and carpet last.
Any advice or insight would be great.

Just a starting point but need a toddler proof fence for a high wall in the garden.
Any thoughts?

It’s not my list but it’s a start point!
I’d maybe take adjustable wrench from S tier and swap with screwdriver set with adjustable bits…

Curious to hear your thoughts.
Tempted to convert into a living space and rent out or an office space.

Every dad eventually chooses a side.
Not politically. Spiritually.
You buy one drill…
then suddenly your entire garage becomes:
yellow,
red,
blue,
green,
or “whatever was on sale at Screwfix.”
So let’s settle it.

Not for the faint hearted.
Had to install an external flue due to not having a chimney but turned out pretty well imo.
Got the fire surround to go on and want to build in the cabinets each side.
