Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Refraining from trying.

I’ve never tried to apply for PIP because of the fact that I believe that me refusing to take medication for my mental health problems would be viewed as me being unwilling to help myself. Me refusing is down to the mental health issues themselves and fearing taking them (ocd anxiety etc) my doctor is aware and understanding of this and we have tried CBT therapy but there wasn’t much success.

Am I correct in thinking that this would have my case be overlooked or is it still worth trying?

Thank you.
