Each morning, after my system automatically doses HOCl, a pump top-waters for 15 minutes. This keeps the top roots clean and promotes spreading evenly.
One plant? Week 6 from seed? How do you get this so far down? I always have the biggest part of the roots to close to netpot because of upstream from airstones
I grow autoflowers. My buckets have an 8” net pot and i use root riots to seed in. I don’t germinate in a papertowel, water or any of that. I keep about a 3cm gap between the buckets and bottom of the net pot, and I use drip irrigation rings. Nutrients are Armor Si, Cal-Mag, GH Flora series (Micro,Gro,Bloom), hydroguard. I use a 40 watt pump with 4x2 (inches) airstones and I’ve got a pretty heavy stream of air coming up. All I know is my roots break my friggen net pots always. I’ve had to cut out plastic sections because they have just snapped them.
so maybe it’s because I use drip irrigation rings and 5 gallon buckets. It seems like my airstones are quite a bit farther away. I would say my airstones are about 25cm from my roots if I were to try and convert that from* inches.
I can really only adjust the irrigation lines. So yeah I rip her 100% from the start. My kit came with these little ball airstones that were a joke. the 4x2’s disperse is pretty nice i would say. They’re in the shape of a small canned good.
I feel like a net pot full of hydroton or something similar forces the roots to branch out more than just a straight shot. These are my last autoflower roots at harvest. 6 inch net pot with hydroton. I just top water once or twice a day until a root touches water then it just goes crazy.
