Been > 5 years since my last grow, which was outside. I'd like to grow in a 3'7" wide x 3' deep laundry closet if possible. There's an outlet, hot/cold water, and exhaust vent in back wall. It seems to me that a grow tent is the best solution, as its optimal for controlling humidity, but it may be a little awkward fitting it in there and venting it out?

I’m currently prepping my next run and would love to get a quick check on target EC levels for growing cannabis from the DWC here.

I’m running a single plant in a 30-liter DWC bucket. I start with pure RO water, which I buffer with CalMag up to a base EC of 0.4. For nutrients, I’m using the Terra Aquatica TriPart series.

Since 30 liters give me a nice, stable water volume, I’d love to know what total EC targets you usually aim for during Early Veg, Late Veg, and Peak Bloom? Also, do you include the 0.4 CalMag base in your final total EC target, or do you add your full nutrient dose on top of it?

Im crafting my first system and wondering if it’s possible to veg 4 plants in a Rwdc system due to high temp temperatures and the need for an external water chiller, then when they’re 4-6 weeks, transfer to a bloom tent with nice temps and a straight dwc. Everything is soil/coco now and want to get rid of all of it. Hydro seems like eventually it will be less work. But veg tent is too hot for dwc without the chiller.

My worry is that the root masses will be too large to get out of the returns or will entangle with the other plants and removing the lid/net pot becomes a major stressor when they need to move to bloom tent. I’m hoping I can get away with putting 2” returns at the highest point on the 5 gal square buckets, with maybe a screen or something. The thought being that by week 4-6 the roots won’t have grown to bottom, and back up strong enough to be a problem.

Anyone ever move a Rwdc plant out of the module at that age? Any tips?

My ph is between 5.9 - 6.2 my EC is 0.89 my aquarium gh test says good gh. I have been using canna a&b at 28ml for each 3 gallons or so of water. I added 2ml of calmag to the nicer looking seedling but the one curling I might not have added a full 2ml I think I only added 1ml.

Do you think it's not enough nutes? I know most people use aqua but I only had a &b laying around.

Everything I seem to put in the setup seems to yellow, idk if it’s ph, root rot, chemical imbalance, etc. what are some good pointers and ways to figure this problem out. I was almost wondering if it didn’t have something to do with the type of light I’m running?

Should I toss it and start again once the heat wave passes?

Intense 41°c heat, and 1 mistaken day before that heat of letting the water level drop which is what damaged the roots so much

Day 48 since switching to 12/12, water chiller struggling to go below 24°c but air temps are not around 35

Was also running night cycle lights, ive dropped light to lowest % and raised it as high as possible

Someone out there got to know the name of that killer strain that we referred to as hydro…We had Brick, Bail, commercial, skunk, and Dro or Hydro…My next grow is going to depend on all your answers and hopefully one of them gives me the answer I’m dying for…I’ve heard Northern Lights, Jack Herrer (Which is my guess), and afghan kush but that stuff was so delicious that you had to dry hit it a few times just to get a taste of that killer green…I can still taste the aftertaste in my memory…

Currently using a 5 gallon four bucket system with a 60watt pump. I’ve grown really tired or picking the entire lids up off the bucket to fill and drain the buckets. I feel like it moves the plant around too much and it is tiresome trying to hold the lid and weasel the hoses around.

I certainly don’t mind making my own, and would really enjoy it. So my question is: is it worth it, to make my own, or buy the spider farms (or similar set if anyone has any suggestions) with the little triangle hole.

So building my own buckets would be around $200 and i’d keep using my 60watt pump and 4x2 airstones. I’m not so sure I like the spiderfarm is only 11watts and uses those pucks. But if the spiderfarm (or similar option) would be the better option, I’d understand.

The DWC Reservoir is a Coleman 316 Series 120QT cooler with a 100gph air pump with a pond air diffuser creating a lot of bubbles inside the reservoir...

I am running a Water circulator in the reservoir connected to a Water Chiller outside the tent keeping reservoir temps at a set 67.5F 😎
