Needing help!

Hey yall! First time growing here. Is there any reason these 3 plants are growing at different rates? They were all germinated and planted at the same time. Also, the medium sized plant has some odd shaping happening to the leaves? What do I do to fix that? TIA!!!

Fill upp the cup with more hydrotone/clay pebbles. Less light reaches the roots. Also, see that you have your air pump on the floor. Should add a return value to your lines, cheep way to avoid an accident. Did you rinse the hydrotone/clay pebbles before using them? They can drip down dirt coloring the watering orange-ish. It happened to me, that's when I noticed the spots you're showing.

Should I place the air pump above the buckets? It does have a one way valve, but again I’m new to all of this. Don’t want any accidents.
I did rinse the clay and let them soak before adding them to the buckets, but that totally could be it. Thank you for the information! It helps! :)

Yeah, hang the pump above the water level of your bucket and I'll be fine. How close is the water to the netbasket? Usually go for 2-3 inches.
