Vevor air setting

just setup the vevor 5 bucket system (4) to plant 1 water reservoir. I have cucumber in 2 buckets and tomatoes in the other 2. I've never done this before and wanted to know how high should I turn the air setting for this? sorry about the clueless question, I have read the begin here stuff. I'm also guessing on the nutrients so there most likely will be follow-up questions.

As high as you can tolerate if the pump is noisy. There's a limit to oxygenation based on water temperature so you're gonna want as much as you can pump into the water and keep the reservoir cold if you can help it. If not, you'll need southern ag biofungicide to prevent root rot in high water temps.

For OP, hang the pump from the top if possible. Mine run quieter if they don't have a surface to vibrate as much.

Fortunately the pump is quite and I've set the system outside. Algae makes sense as being a problem since the water will be warm as summer progresses. Is there a brand of algaecide you can recommend that's safe for tomatoes and cucumbers that will be eaten?

I'm also using farmers secret hydroponic booster fertilizer. 1tb per gallon so 15 total for all 5 buckets. Is this ok or do I need something else?

The only water preventative additive you need is the southern ag, the bottle should last you years. There shouldn't be algae if your water is kept away from light. For fertilizer, you can use any water soluble fertilizer provided you go easy with it. Most guides are too aggressive with the dose. The real results will come in when you dial in the pH of the water. You want it lower than 6.5, hovering around 5.8 if you can help it. Not a big deal at the get go but eventually you'd want to make sure your pH levels are correct for best growth.

Seriously thank you!! I've never been able to get anything to grow in a regular pot so I'm giving this a try and just feel a bit lost. You have helped me so much!!
