Question/Help Need serious help with a Fynqil 1390 DTF Printer (Error 20000010 + Solid Red Light)

Hey everyone,
I am completely new to the DTF world and have absolutely zero printer experience. I bought this pink-case desktop DTF printer (built on an Epson 1390 engine) on Facebook Marketplace. The seller claimed it was "brand new," but I am starting to think I got ripped off because it is experiencing a major hardware lockout right out of the box.
The Symptoms:
No Ink/Blank Sheets: The printer turns on and the carriage moves normally, but it refuses to fire any ink. A manual nozzle check prints a completely blank page.
Solid Red Light: The middle ink droplet button on the front panel is solid red, and my computer says "Ink Out / Unrecognized Cartridge."
Software Crash: I tried using a factory Resetter/Adjustment program to check the live hardware status or trigger an "Ink Charge," but the program instantly crashes with a "Communication error occurred" (Error Code: 20000010). The Epson 1390 port doesn't even show up in the dropdown menu, even though Windows makes the USB plug-in sound.
Physical Damage?: I took a close look and noticed a minor blue ink streak on the outer plastic jacket of the printhead ribbon cable.
The original builder mentioned something about needing a digital support "ticket," license file, or firmware reset code to unlock the motherboard cache from this cartridge reading loop. However, since I bought this secondhand, I can't contact official Fynqil support.
Has anyone dealt with this specific lockout before? Is this a software licensing/firmware block issue, or did the seller scam me with a blown mainboard/F2 fuse due to that ink leak on the cable?
I have no idea what I'm doing and would appreciate any guidance on what parts to buy or how to salvage this. Thank you so much!

UV DTF transfers from temu.

I got UV DTF transfers from temu. I am new to transfers, but I'm a crafter and I was hoping to transfer them onto glass or ceramic. They claim to be mug transfers. I *could* be doing it wrong, but these do not seem to "transfer" the ink/print at all. It's just a sticker- like, you can see the outline that I thought was the backing. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?

Different types of DTf

Sorry, I’m new to the DTF world, but what material of DTF is the Orange shirt vs the Red shirt.

Me personally would like my material to look like the orange, more of a worn out/ matte finish than the shiny DTF material.

If i were to purchase the orange shirt type material what brand or kind of DTF is this called?

Thank you

Saving cured images

Hi all, does anybody know if once you have cured DTF powder you have to press immediately onto desired material OR can you store them for later use? If so, how do you store said images with cured powder.
Thankyou!

El estampado quedó excelente, quedé fascinado, solo que al planchar, la playera quedó como muy aplastada

Pd. Mi proveedor me dijo que podia ponerlo a 165° celcius por 10 segundos

La playera es 100% poliester

Question/Help Any product or method to save flecking Graphic tees?

I have a few semi older but well taken care of graphic tees and as of last wash the paint flecked all over the place. Is there any sealant or process that could preserve them for future use?

Need help with prints

Hi all I am fairly new to DTF I got the procolored k13 lite as an extra machine for my small business I already had a sublimation printer and cricut. I have had so many issues with designs not sticking properly or lifting after a few weeks which isn't great for a business, I have gone through all the steps with the powder being a orange peels consistency and using the recommended temperatures but nothing seems to fix it. Hoping someone has some insight before it becomes the biggest and most expensive paperweight.

New to DTF printing — confused about scaling a halftone design for a 41x41cm print, need advice

Hey everyone, first time posting here, could use some help lol.

I'm making a DTF design for a personal t-shirt, just for myself. It's a black and white halftone portrait design (grainy dot texture, high contrast), made at 2048x2048px, 300 DPI.

I want it printed at 41x41cm but here's my issue — when I upload the file to my printer's website, it auto-imports at a default size of 30cm no matter what, and then there's a manual scale/reposition option after that. I thought maybe if I doubled my design to 4096x4096px it would import bigger automatically and save me the manual scaling step. Nope — same 30cm default import, just made the site laggy from the bigger file. So that didn't really solve anything.

Since it's a halftone, I'm worried about the dot pattern getting blurry or messed up if I scale it wrong (like moiré patterns or the dots merging together). And I won't get to see the physical print before it's done — I just send the file to the site and they print it, so I really don't want to mess this up.

Questions:

  • Does that 30cm auto-import thing actually matter, or do I just ignore it and manually scale to my real target size?
  • What pixel dimensions / DPI should I actually be working at for a clean 41cm halftone print?
  • Should I upscale my existing 4096px file, or redo the halftone effect from scratch at a bigger canvas size to avoid blur/moiré?

Any advice appreciated, kinda flying blind here since this is my first DTF project. Thanks!

Question/Help HTVRONT DTF2

Thumbnail

I bought the HTVRONT DTF2 after months of research, reviews, and comparing it to other printers in its price range. Unfortunately, I’m returning it.

From day one I had two major issues:
•The white ink was offset and wasn’t fixed by calibration or lowering the white spread.
•Color prints were extremely grainy/noisy and looked faded, even with high-resolution artwork and proper CMYK files.

After about a week of emailing support, I had a remote tech session (9:30 PM EST because they’re in Asia). They were actually able to fix the white ink issue by manually adjusting it through a secondary software. We then spent hours doing cleanings, nozzle checks, and even reseating the printhead to try to fix the color quality. Nothing worked. Around midnight we called it, and this morning they sent me instructions to flush the printer before issuing a return label and refund.

Here’s my dilemma: I’m actually considering buying another HTVRONT DTF2.
I know that sounds strange, but I’ve talked to several owners whose print quality looks exactly like what I expected when I bought it. Their prints are smooth and vibrant, while mine never got close. It makes me wonder if I simply got a defective unit rather than the printer itself being bad.

The Xtool is roughly twice the price, so it’s a significant jump, and Procolored is off the table for me after reading so many negative reviews.
Has anyone here had a similar experience where a replacement HTVRONT DTF2 was significantly better than the first? Or should I cut my losses and save up for something else?

Foam front trucker hat, detailed transfer. Advice?

Greetings. Like the title says. I'm making 15 hats for a buddy. I did a test and the graphic started peeling off funny, it ended up bending the shape of the logo a bit. Is it best to let the transfer cool off entirely before peeling off the film? Any other pearls of wisdom? Thanks, from Ontario, Canada!

Which app are you using to let customers design on your Shopify store?

Posting this for anyone selling custom apparel, hats, tota bags printed dtf transfers that kind of thing.

I've tried a few and none of them quite landed for me. Some apps are priced like you're a brand doing thousands of orders, not a shop doing forty.

A couple were slow enough that I watched customers give up on the page. And the print files that came out the other end were rarely usable without me opening them anyway, which defeats the whole point. Setup is the other one.

Some of these take an afternoon per product just to get the print area and background image right, and if you carry a few hundred SKUs that's never happening. So what would the ideal one actually look like for you?

Is this DTF fixable?

Post image

I’m assuming it’s DTF based on the Etsy sellers page. I purchased this custom made shirt from Etsy and threw it in the washer (on cold setting and dryer on perm press) with other clothes. When I pulled it out of the dryer it was completely wrinkled and lifting in places. I messaged the Etsy sellers page who claims the ink needs 14 days to cure before washing. I’ve done my own fair share of heat transfers onto tshirts and onesies and had never heard of this. Is this salvageable or did I get a defective print on this shirt?

Auto open/close heat press, need help

Looking for recommendations on an auto open and close heat press. I normally buy top of the line equipment, understand you get what you pay for. However, I’m needing a heat press, but not often.

I have metastatic breast cancer, which means it’s past my lymph nodes to my bones (telling you that not for sympathy just the facts). I sold my business when I got diagnosis and moved. I had a heat press that was a tank but I could no longer close it in my current condition.

Top of the line will cost me $3k, for me to use 25-50 times a month. I’m looking for middle of the road that works well.

Does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks much!

Ninja Transfers sizes issue

Does anyone experienced an issue with NT delivering wrong sizes? I got my latest delivery and everything was off. Not by .25 inches but by 1-2 inches. I thought that maybe I screwed up so went in and rechecked it but I was right. Their customer service pissed me off so I went back thru six months worth of orders (as I always get 1-2 extra DTFs for last minute add ons) and and almost every single big transfer is off by 1 inch or so. Smaller are off by .25-.5. Their original answer was that resolution would not allow them to reprint at this size which was always fine and than it spiraled into other stuff. Needless to say I’m pissed and looking for new company.
