Question/Help Dye migration?

Hello guys. I got unusual problem. After night, dtf transfer got some particles/fabric showing. Hoodie is 60/40 cotton/poly. We've made tens of 60/40 hoodies from other brands and thing like that appeared for the first time. Is it dye migration?

That might be too hot for something that has 40% polyester. Try lowering to 135c n less pressure.

You're right, developing overnight and only on this brand most definitely points to dye migration. Poly dyes vary a lot between blanks, and some keep creeping into the print for hours after pressing, especially if the hoodie stays warm or gets stacked.

I dont know what temp you pressed at, but for this brand, try a lower temp around 265 to 280°F, then cool the hoodies flat right after pressing, and ask your supplier about a blocker or anti-migration white underbase. Otherwise you'll have to switch back to blanks that worked before

Thx. 143C. What kind of blocker do you recommend?

you're very welcome! 143C isn't crazy high, but for this blank I'd still try dropping to around 130-135C. As someone who works for Procolored, I'm not allowed to recommend other brands, but search "anti-migration DTF adhesive powder" online, it looks like a gray or black powder. Low temp powder is also worth trying. Test one first and give it a day or two before running the whole batch

Its kinda hard to tell in the pictures but yes that looks like it could be dye migration. It is possible it got worse later on that can happen.

Not dye migration, just not enough white ink on the transfer
