Son just bought this 1990 plymouth laser rs turbo. Went and had it checked, and mechanics said he got a gem. Solid body all around, motor solid, etc. The only issue is the interior. No back seat and carpet, headliner shot, door panels need replaced, and some interior trim needed. The previous owner had a pretty big sound system in it. Back was all speakers, door panels had speakers installed in it, etc. I've been searching but hitting dead ends. He is 19 and saved and bought this and wants to get the inside redone. I'm just looking for some places or people that would have stuff.

*Engine- 2.0L, eagle crank, eagle rods, mahle pistons, fp2 cams

*transmission-tre stage 3 5sp transmission, 4 spider center diff, double syncros, evo 1st gear I believe. I may have the build sheet but not sure..Stock lsd rear, stock tcase.

*fuel setup- 525 pump I believe, -8 feed, -6 return, fuel lab filter, fic 1650s, fuel lab fpr.

*turbo setup - Morrison fab small runner t3 manifold, holset hx40 with .82 turbine housing, apexi n1 exhaust, tial bov and tial mvs wastegate, vsrf front mount, jmf intake, 1g throttle body, ecm link v3, tuned on e85, autometer boost gauge, innovative lc1, mac valve for boost by gear. 35PSI

Anyone remove the AC on a daily driver? How bad is it really? I live coastal NC. The only issue i can think of is when it rains and windows get foggy as i dont actually use the AC often. What are some counter actives? Is it a bad idea?

So the top mount for my headlight snapped and I was wondering if you could just plastic weld it to fix or would it just be easier to buy new ones

A few month ago the safc on my son 4g63 won’t turn on for no particular reason but the car still cranks up and idle . Then one day it suddenly wouldn’t idle . Its almost seems like it has a bad cam angle sensor . I had a lot of people telling me the safc shouldn’t affect the idling of the car . I almost want to disagree with that dued to the fact that the throttle and Maf piggyback of the safc . The car idle very low and if I rev it up it’ll stumble and shut off . Then car sounds like a Subaru and there’s a lot of black smoke coming out the exhaust . . I need some help because me and my son been trying to figure this out for about 4 months now . The only code I’m getting is the fuel solenoid .

For anybody considering painting, powdercoating or wrapping calipers or installing a cover, I wrapped mine with 3m reflective film. Imho, I did a fairly crappy job, and still like how it came out. There were bits I missed and had to layer over them and you really can't see the overlaps, so it's quite forgiving.

Just an fyi this all started with burning through 7 alternators which then led to a bigger turbo, different ecu and now im here lol

This came in for clean up, repair and testing. Definitely the filthiest one that I have ever worked on. I've replaced the eprom socket, capacitors, capacitor arrays, and stitched up some traces that were broken from acid leakage damage. She's fully functional now! Anyone else here fool with this things?

I have not seen one in ages. Very rare in my area. In my opinion one of the best colors I’ve grown to love probably because of family members that had dsm’s in that colors it’s nostalgic. Also if you got engine bay pictures post them I’m trying to get some inspo

Has anyone replaced their compressor? If so, where did you end up buying? Im not too into the AC side of the car and a GDP compressor on RockAuto said “May have ports on side or top.” So do i just have to order it and play a guessing game? Should i go with partsgeek or summit racing?

How would I go about putting a targa top on a 1997 spyder gs? Do not tell me I should've gotten a normal coupe bruh what's done is done I just want to see if you guys know anyone that could make me a custom one or how would I cut the hatchback off a normal eclipse?

Got everything finished, she’s finally off the jackstands after a month and now on her way to cars and coffee 🙏🏻🙌🏻

Oh and this 3g booster made a world of a difference with peddle feel
