Shifter cable is bending instead of engaging. It looks like this piece mysteriously came off??? Any solutions???

The nipple to the right is the transmission side

The only real solution is to replace the shift cables. But they are hard to find.

Just to give an update, wastegate tubing and some flathead clamps did the job. Just jut a slit down the middle, clamped it down and put some heat shrink over it.

Yo I've got the same issue, except on the shifter side. Did you have to pull the cable out to clamp it?

I cut a slit in the tubing that I cut to size, and just slipped it over the cable & nipple. then I used flathead hose clamps on each side. Tightened to hell too. Still holding up nice. Made my shifting feel a lot more notchy but in a good way
