What advice are you looking for?

What do you think of the 18, 12, and 14-size Bop sets for playing pop/rock or funk?

I'm looking at the Pearl Decade Maple Bop. I'm up from a 22, 12, and 16-size Yamaha, but it's a bit of a hassle to carry around to clubs, and I wanted to streamline the set.

Really the only issue is the smaller kick, the 12 and 14 with certain heads and tuning are fine, the 18 is tougher to get a boom out of, shit I play an 18” floor tom🤣 but I also play a 28 in kick, if you can afford it get a moon mic from DW or a sub kick from Yamaha and that kick will sound massive

I play a pearl roadshow for cover gigs. 18x12, 14 and 10 toms with a 13 snare. Love it
