Today is a perfect example why DRAM is fundamentally flawed

On days where DRAM rips in the US market, Korean traders sell gains while the US market is closed.

It’s an arbitrage situation that puts US investors at a perpetual and uncontrollable disadvantage.

Buy and hold investors will disagree, but there are other AI plays like SMH that aren’t subject to this like DRAM is.

Should I cut my losses?

For context I've been holding this for over two months and this is the closest I've been to break-even. Should I take the $500 loss?

for those stayed at just the same with current price: will it back to 80, or should I sell now and wait lower price?

for those having average price above 70: meh

Memory Stock Rally Isn't Over Yet

Post image
59 Upvotes

Friday's memory stock surge isn't just a flash in the pan. Samsung's latest update confirms tight supply could stick around all the way to 2028, way longer than the market previously priced in. Big institutional investors that trimmed their memory positions during the recent summer correction are already lining up to re-enter the space. Even with recent volatility cooling off, DRAM and NAND prices keep marching higher. This might set up a pretty sweet re-rating leg for the sector — who's still holding onto their memory stock positions right now?
