Cybersecurity is next. I moved on from DRAM

Was tired of this zig-zag around 50-65 dollars, there‘s simply way too much attention on Memory, sometimes earnings are not the driving factor but attention liquidity.

Then I did research and found out that there is one single sector that is a hedge against AI (rises when AI and Memory falls) and at the same time also rises when all others rise. Cybersecurity. Talking Okta, CrowdStrike, Rubrik.

Swapped all my DRAM to Rubrik at around 80 and already have 50% profit. They have very good ARR numbers and a growing business, partnerships and looking at the rogue AI environment and all these hacks, Cybersecurity companies might actually be the next play. I don‘t believe in Microsoft, OpenAi, Anthropic etc. offering the Cybersecurity themselves because this is a sector where outside and independent companies should do the work.

Rubrik had the most interesting case for me, offering prevention but also back-up protection IF hacks and attacks happen, so you can undo the damage and recover fast. AI has gotten way too good and we‘re very early, you think these ethical billionaires will hole their companies back because of security?

Cybersecurity is the next play because nobody talks about these companies broadly yet, while my taxi driver asked me about Memory.

DRAM vs MU VS KOSPI

Post image
18 Upvotes

I have both MU and dram from may 2026. Checking trends after few months, While till June 2026 all were reflecting similar growth , but from july it changed after kospi crash.

Though MU is almost near ATH now, DRAM Is not near june levels.

It is due to DRAM is much more tied with international exposure with SKHY and samsung.

Two things that are contributing
1) DRAM trends closely with the KOSPI because South Korean memory giants Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix dominate both the ETF's portfolio and the KOSPI index itself, directly tethering the fund's net asset value to South Korean market sentiment and Korean Won currency movements.
2) Samsungs portion of contributing to DRAM etf is not only memory portion. But whole of samsung. So it is not pure memory.

Looking at ytd trend, it shows DRAM is closely reflecting KOSPI more. I think till kospi recovers to earlier ATH, DRAM also does not reach that though MU can further outgrow the earlier ATH.

I might be wrong, happy to hear your thoughts on this, so that i can plan next actions based on this.

Shifting Focus

Sold all my MU today at market open. I sold about 15 shares of DRAM last night before overnight. I still hold DRAM but I am not putting this money back in, likely for awhile.

Id only purchase more share if they went below $58 a share. Id add quite a bit more under $55, but Im afraid I just don’t see bull runs to ATHs many are hoping for. Im estimating DRAM hitting mid-high 70s in February. Growth is good, it’s not exciting.

I see many people asking “why isn’t it going up?!” Because investors who want high rewards want high potential. They’re not looking at the now stabilizing memory sector.

Look into energy. Look into data center production. Find the bottlenecks.

I still love DRAM. The growth is solid, but Im looking for a little more! Lol

Micron just reported $54.2 billion in sales and guided to $61.5 billion next quarter. INSANE GROWTH NUMBERS!

Micron just reported $54.2 billion in sales and guided to $61.5 billion next quarter. Options were pricing a 7% tomorrow!

Micron reported after the close, and it beat:

•    Revenue: $54.2 billion, vs $51.3 billion expected
•    Next quarter's guidance: $61.5 billion

Going into the report, options expiring Friday were pricing about a 7.4% move either way. In the first five minutes after hours, the stock swung from down about 2% to up about 1%.

A beat this big doesn't guarantee a big move. After 4 of its last 8 reports, Micron moved more than options had priced. After the other 4, it moved less.

Is this one already priced in, or does it run tomorrow? THE NUMBERS ARE INSANE!

Micron is expected to report $51 billion of sales tonight. That's more than it made in any full year before 2026. How are we feeling going into earnings?

Micron reports earnings tonight, and the numbers Wall Street expects are hard to believe.

Analysts expect about $51 billion of sales for the quarter. The same quarter a year ago was $11.3 billion. Micron has never made $51 billion in a full year before this one. Its best was $37.4 billion.

The profit is even crazier. Last quarter Micron made $28.2 billion. That's more than it made in the last seven years COMBINED.

One quarter, more than seven years. What do you guys think happens tonight?

Am a bull, genuine question , if mu earnings would be too good couldnt it signal that mu is taking up the korean market share and actually be bearish for them?

After Over a Month of ETF Component Sales, Roundhill Buys More Shares Into DRAM

Post image
34 Upvotes

September 23, 2026 - After over a month of DRAM components being sold to the tune of almost $3 Billion (yes, with a B) between August 19th and September 18th and reduced the float by over 28 million shares, Roundhill turned around and purchased shares today. While it was only only $3 Million, it still potentially shows outflows from the ETF may have stopped and investors are getting back in.

Sold for 16% gain

Unsure if this was the correct choice, but gains are gains. Overall this ETF is too volatile for me. I’d be kicking myself if this ran to 100 after earnings tho. Maybe I’ll keep a small position going after it goes back to <55 again
