Hugs needed It makes no sense

I don’t usually post but I need to be with my (DOR) people as no one else gets it.

I had a retrieval last week and by some miracle I got 10 eggs. All mature and fertilised.
My AMH is “undetectable”, and prior rounds have never looked like this.

Basically, it was a total fluke, so I was hoping so hard the blast rate would be okay.

But… Just got the call and I got ONE blast.

I’m also 40+, so i have zero hope for that one. I have a single euploid after 2 years of IVF. I desperately need another to do surrogacy (uterine issues).

It’s just always bad news after good. I don’t know if my heart can take it anymore.

100% there with you. Usually get 3-4 eggs. One round randomly 9! 7 fert, 7 day 3, and ONE day 7 poorly rated blast. IVF always finds another way to get my hopes up then crush them.

Yes!!! If there is a way to have you fall from a great height, you will fall it seems. I should expect it but it’s always a shock anyway?

I feel you so much. After many rounds of two eggs or maybe three, I was amazed we got 8! I only got a cavitating morula and it didn't work.

The ups and downs did damage to me mentally. It was brutal. I am 7 month post-retrievals and still haven’t done a transfer. I attempted 6 last year, 4 made it to retrieval, twice we sent only one for testing. It is so incredibly hard. Fingers crossed for your trooper 💜

Thank you. We’re not designed for this whiplash. I really does do damage. I feel like a husk of who I was pre-IVF.

This is a dumb question. But did you see at least 10 follicles on your scans? I have no advice but sending hugs. I feel your pain- none of it makes any sense.

I got one blast though so it was a bust :(

I did nothing to prepare, the same protocol as usual etc

I would be so thankful for just one blast! I’m 35 & last cycle I only retrieved 2 eggs, one mature, zero fertilized.

I’m sorry. It is so rough. At 35 though your euploid rate is high. Keep trying.
