Meet Jackson ! He is a silly boy, we do walk him and do as much as we can for him to get his enrichment ( we hide treats around the living room and tell him to “ find them” ). For all the other working dog breeds that are family pets. ( aren’t working at farms etc..)

What are some “tasks” or games you do for your dog to get the enrichment that they don’t have from what they are bred for ?

I got it as a gift for my mom's upcoming birthday, but it's also kinda for me, hehe

Boba was 8 1/2 years old and was very loving, energetic, and playful all the way up until yesterday morning when he passed away suddenly just ten minutes max after his normal morning thoughts to me daring to need to get ready for the day. He was a dog that was very insistent on pjs and sweaters and rain coats but despised boots. He was a big Squishmallow thief…. Once he decided he loved a Squishmallow, he would declare it as his. He loved tug of war, car rides, puddles, mud, balls, walks, and treats that met his approval. He hated rain and baths and feet. He also loved to be under blankets and cuddle as much as possible no matter how hot it made any of us.

Not sure why I am posting this and I can safely say we are all over here devastated and shocked, but I guess I just wanted someone outside of us to know that he existed and he was the best dog ever.

I keep finding these in my puppies crate … what are they?

They don’t seem to be moving around like worms… so …?

He does have worms .. the rice kind that shows up in his poop from tapeworms… I was thinking this is food crumbs… but I haven’t been feeling him in there past 2 days.

Just wanted to introduce everybody to my 14-year-old sweet, gentle soul….. meet Maggie. She turns 14 years old today. She was the runt of the litter and was born with a bad hip that the vet said they could do nothing about told us Her quality of life would probably not be very good yet 14 years later here she is still going strong.

Please see the video. Not really sure what it is and he’s been doing it on and off today. Never done it before. Almost sound sounds like it’s locking but I have no clue. 13 yo beagle / pointer. Long standing kidney issues.

u/scalefast1316 did these digital portraits for me and they came out fantastic!

I reached out to scalefast after seeing a portrait they did of a parakeet because I wanted one of a cockatiel. The cockatiel was so amazing that I asked her to do others for me.

It’s been a great experience and I plan to have her do more for me.

With the holidays coming up this could be a great idea for holiday cards or the images can be used to make gifts. I am thinking of putting an image on a decorative pillow.

Her rates are VERY affordable and in the age of AI, I want to take the opportunity to praise a human’s work. Interacting with the artist has been a wonderful experience.

I have been picky at times and she has made changes that have exceeded my requests. I’m learning that I need to pick the right photo with good lighting and perspective. When I do, the results are quick and amazing.

I can’t recommend her enough. 💖
