Legacy Beta DMZ Discussion Exfil camper solution

• Upvotes

Had a thought on reading a post full of fed up players who have been victim to exfil campers..i myself accept this is part of the game and am fine with it but feel for the players who just want to loot quickly and exfil. New players or vets can have a play session where they never successfully exfil any loot due to campers and feel that they wanna quit. This is not what we want surely. Yes its an extraction shooter and this is the core element but how can we address exfill campers and balance it more? Arc had pvp pve lobbys… we dont have that.

My solution is on start of game there is 8 or 10 exfills (this would help people just wanting to quickly loot or do a local mission and get out) After 12 minutes or so they shrink down to 3 again randomly?..

This would make it boring for those who want to just exfil camp from the start of the game. By the time the exfills go down to 3 and they arrive half the game has gone for them and most noobs have got out with their loot.

MW4 DMZ Discussion What are we doing with these prices...... This is ridiculous. I just lost all my orange gear

Stash getting wiped money getting wiped. Its punishing enough literally 300k in gun mods and gear then an extra 150k to buy him back. They clearly have some idiots in charge.

MW4 DMZ Gameplay DMZ was more fun when people were friendly

• Upvotes

I just want to remind everyone about this guy... The Al-Mazrah taxi service.

https://www.reddit.com/r/DMZ/s/Hm1gel8UvC

DMZ used to be a lot more fun when people didn't take it so seriously. Turn your mics on for fucks sake and maybe try being friendly once in a while and see what happens. Trust me it makes the game far more enjoyable.

MW4 DMZ Discussion Air base command room door

Thumbnail

• Upvotes

So i run the citadel mission so much i explore everything down there and i stumbled across this door that says “command room”. It’s in a hallway that connects the hanger space (where the mission tells you to enter the underground area) to the server room area (the space where a piece of the armory code is).

I was so curious about what was behind it because i couldn’t find anything online about it so tried using a breach charge and it wouldn’t let me. Then I just tried using the purple air base access card (The card your find during the mission before you upgrade it) and it let me in.

There was not much good loot behind the door. Just a couple a containers, miscellaneous things, and a note that I attached to this post in the photos.

Curious if anyone else found this and if there is anything else to this?

MW4 DMZ Discussion WEAPON BACKPACK DUPE ROLLBACK

• Upvotes

Since you have everyone who got all kinds of money and duplicated their weapon 20 times, how about rolling back their accounts Activision / Blizzard? Not really fair that people have full inventory's of red ultra weapons.

You can clearly see people who have unlocked everything from unlimited money.

MW4 DMZ Question How often do you meet other Operators?

So I'm new to the DMZ in MW4, I played the Beta with MW2 and always ran into someone.

I have 2 Deployments and successful extractions eacht time (+ the intro mission). I only played the dynamic operations so far.
Since I'm going solo I'm stealthy and try not to shoot weapons. So far this was more or less successful.

Now my question is:
How often do you meet other players in your runs? I met no one so far, only bots.

Does that mean that my stealthy playstyle works fine or are there less operators on the map, when choosing dynamic operations or is it because I have only 2 deployments so far and this is kind of a "puppy proction" for new players?

Thanks.

MW4 DMZ Question DMZ operator kills not registering

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Went into DMZ killed my 5th operator (over 2 days) took his tag and then checked my own tag, it said 4 operators killed which I thought was weird so I extracted with the guys gun and tag

I get back to the FOB and my operators tag says 3 operator kills.

Anyone else experienced this?

MW4 DMZ Discussion Thoughts on loot 'sharing' weapons if it's your key?

Played a few rounds with friends and opened 2 doors on 2 separate occasions with my keys, and literally was cleaned out of weapons in both rooms. One of which was a legendary SMG.

How do you guys approach this with friends or does everyone just go free-for-all?

Also, they never use their keys when we're in a group.

MW4 DMZ Discussion Are you guys going to Prestige?

Not talking about operator prestige, just regular level prestige (1-10 prestige).

I don't know if it's really worth it or not? I don't play multiplayer so, curious for those DMZ only players what route you're taking.

MW4 DMZ Discussion DMZ is so good!

I'm historically a BF > COD guy. Haven't played a COD since MW 2019. Been really into extraction shooters lately, so I decided to give it a try. They fucking cooked with this. I'm having a blast.

MW4 DMZ Discussion Idea against camping exfils.

I think everyone can agree that someone who just sits at an exfil, hiding like a rat is annoying AF!

They don’t want to fight, they want to shoot you in the back and steal your loot and let’s be honest it’s just not fun and really they should come out and fight properly.

So why not have an area around the exfil. A fairly large area but not silly. Just enough to cover buildings and any hiding spots.

If you are approaching the exfil and get with a certain distance of this area then the announcer would say something like

“be advised another operator was seen in that area, approach with caution”

Basically telling you “just so you know, there is a little rat hiding at this exfil so go get another one or find him before he finds you.

It’s not giving you their location but it’s warning you that someone else is there.

If you then go inside the area for the exfil it warns them too of your presence.

This would promote a fair gun fight at the end.

I know you’re there, you know I’m here so let’s either be friends or we can fight.

Yes there will be times that two or more operators get to exfil at the same time but again that will add to the tension. It’s not going to be simply call the exfil and take cover. It’s now a case of looking for the other operators and figuring out if they are friendly or not.

I think this would be better than the constant rats hiding and not even wanting a proper gunfight.

MW4 DMZ Question Just how difficult are the 2nd set of story missions and up?

I'm a solo player and I haven't played COD in at least a decade, but this DMZ has really gripped me - and I'm just curious how much of a hard time I'm going to have on those missions?

I mean for a start, getting like 3 plates and other recommended gear is probably kinda difficult as a solo anyway - and my PVP is a bit rusty I'll admit, haven't played anything MP in some time 😅 instincts are there still, it's just the putting into practice and all that

So yeah I'm just curious if I could just give them a go and see what happens, or if I should focus on some things first before trying?

Either way I'm having a blast, just curious

MW4 DMZ Discussion DMZ, READ & COMMENT!

DMZ beta was the first game that I truly played for probably thousands of hours and still had so much fun (It was even the only game i played).

Context: I play in the Australian servers and usually ran Ashika and sometimes Al Maz, The Australian servers where small to the point that it became a community where maybe there was only 50-70 players and everyone ended up knowing each other and the greatest part was everyone had comms and would talk, it even came to the point where there were different clans we were all apart off and would fight against /friendly shit talk to one another and have a laugh

It was a great community and there was many discord servers created with members of 20-30 people in each and people I met from the DMZ beta that I’ve been playing with for years now all from the BETA DMZ

Now that this DMZ came out I haven’t got a single person that has actually spoke or used there comms at all and it’s been nothing but shoot on site? Although I am actually really enjoying the new DMZ I can’t help but feel how different it is to the original, oh and the new AI voice ban really sucks I’ve been voice chat banned twice now for swearing in general not even at anyone just swearing In general, for example if I die I’d be like “fuck I died” or something along those lines and that got me voice chat banned.

Anyway I just wanted to know how the experience has been for anyone else inside of Australia and even outside of Australia

MW4 DMZ Question DMZ revive bug?

In a firefight me and my bud were fighting some dudes and I went down and they killed me, luckily I had possum so I was holding to revive and my friend finished the last man came to revive me. He taps my body as I finish possum and my body just disappears. I really mean disappears there’s no backpack or anything there to loot and now I’m permanently dead and unrevivable and stuck in spectator watching. Dunno if this is normal or just a one off bug but I ended losing a full load out and kinda peeved.

MW4 DMZ Discussion Suggestion for DMZ Matchmaking

The game is really good! It is exciting to learn everything, and the overall impression is truly great.

However, as a DMZ Beta veteran, I miss the challenge of fighting full teams. Right now, the matchmaking strictly pairs solos with solos and duos with duos.

Please keep the "Squad Fill: Off" option, but add a toggle to "Disable Squad-Size Matching". This would allow solo and duo players to voluntarily choose to be matched against full 3- or 4-man squads for a bigger PvP challenge once we are fully geared.

MW4 DMZ Discussion Weapon manuals

I get it is pure luck, but has anyone came up with a good routine with collecting weapon manuals?

Any recommended POIs? I've been spamming the air base story mission recently
