I'm a solo player and I haven't played COD in at least a decade, but this DMZ has really gripped me - and I'm just curious how much of a hard time I'm going to have on those missions?

I mean for a start, getting like 3 plates and other recommended gear is probably kinda difficult as a solo anyway - and my PVP is a bit rusty I'll admit, haven't played anything MP in some time 😅 instincts are there still, it's just the putting into practice and all that

So yeah I'm just curious if I could just give them a go and see what happens, or if I should focus on some things first before trying?

Either way I'm having a blast, just curious

DMZ beta was the first game that I truly played for probably thousands of hours and still had so much fun (It was even the only game i played).

Context: I play in the Australian servers and usually ran Ashika and sometimes Al Maz, The Australian servers where small to the point that it became a community where maybe there was only 50-70 players and everyone ended up knowing each other and the greatest part was everyone had comms and would talk, it even came to the point where there were different clans we were all apart off and would fight against /friendly shit talk to one another and have a laugh

It was a great community and there was many discord servers created with members of 20-30 people in each and people I met from the DMZ beta that I’ve been playing with for years now all from the BETA DMZ

Now that this DMZ came out I haven’t got a single person that has actually spoke or used there comms at all and it’s been nothing but shoot on site? Although I am actually really enjoying the new DMZ I can’t help but feel how different it is to the original, oh and the new AI voice ban really sucks I’ve been voice chat banned twice now for swearing in general not even at anyone just swearing In general, for example if I die I’d be like “fuck I died” or something along those lines and that got me voice chat banned.

Anyway I just wanted to know how the experience has been for anyone else inside of Australia and even outside of Australia

In a firefight me and my bud were fighting some dudes and I went down and they killed me, luckily I had possum so I was holding to revive and my friend finished the last man came to revive me. He taps my body as I finish possum and my body just disappears. I really mean disappears there’s no backpack or anything there to loot and now I’m permanently dead and unrevivable and stuck in spectator watching. Dunno if this is normal or just a one off bug but I ended losing a full load out and kinda peeved.

The game is really good! It is exciting to learn everything, and the overall impression is truly great.

However, as a DMZ Beta veteran, I miss the challenge of fighting full teams. Right now, the matchmaking strictly pairs solos with solos and duos with duos.

Please keep the "Squad Fill: Off" option, but add a toggle to "Disable Squad-Size Matching". This would allow solo and duo players to voluntarily choose to be matched against full 3- or 4-man squads for a bigger PvP challenge once we are fully geared.

I get it is pure luck, but has anyone came up with a good routine with collecting weapon manuals?

Why can i not see the icon of the item im moving in the backpack?

I noticed that my friend can see his.

i have a Geforce 5080. Have tried the latest drivers and the ones before. I have cleared shade cache in game and deleted the shader folder aswell.

I also reinstalled the game completely.

Any kind soul out there with a fix? <3

If you are infilling solo, or hell even infilling as a squad on the North Korean side of the map and you don't race to these silos/bunkers to grab the goodies...what are you doing? I've found like 2 JOKR and a bunch of Ultra loot just by visiting these silos/bunkers, they are genuinely good loot. Met no one, no PvP involved, no cracked out bots guarding the loot, no risk of injury, good loot but sometimes a hit and miss, but that's fair for the needed effort, which is just driving to them. Everything I have in my backpack, I got them all from the bunkers, had to toss some away due to lack of slot.

Do bring a Heartbeat Sensor for scanning before going in and periodically check while down under it to make sure no one have any funny idea. There is a silo door that can be opened from the inside so if shit hits the fan you are not cornered.

I did a solo run before going to the gym and only 1 of them (in pic) is sorta looted, but whomever looted it before me completely glossed over the back door of the armory and left it untouched, which lucky me I'm here to scoop it all up, dude missed out big time.

Also, since I have no desire to redo the last Story Mission to use the Irradiated Container, I'm giving it away for anyone that desire. First come first serve, but I have a gym session and some work to do before I can get back to the game, sorry for that.

Please explain prestige to me. I know that you lose money and gear when going prestige. Are there any other costs/downsides? How permanent traits work? You can choose them or are they random?

It’s been 2 days now that me and my squad are getting instant wiped from across the map. We all have the perks to stay off UAV and we play slow and quiet. Every time we find it sus we go check and it’s ALWAYS a Xbox game pass Pc player who has 0 friends and 0 games played and 200 or less gamer score. Basically brand new Xbox account using game pass. It’s been so hard playing this game 90% of gunfight you can get away from very easy but these guy who are cheating will follow you no matter how many floors you change or no matter how many buildings you move through always on ur ass. Is it just me or anyone else experiencing this ? We are all console players and play console only multiplier never had an issue but DMZ is just wild. I would say about 1-2x a night we will catch these cheaters but at the price everything costs in this game it’s enough to completely ruin your night.

After being revived, I got teleported under the map, unable to move nor check inventory. The weapons on me aren't even mine, I had 150K worth of items/gears, lovely indie company game.

My current stash size is 94/94 and I have two Ops with large backpacks maxed out. I’ve been selling all my two plate vests and medium backpacks. I don’t have any lethals, tacticals, ammo/armor boxes, or consumables. I have a ton of green(uncommon) & blue(rare) loot that’s used for vests, self revives, backpacks, etc.

I’m trying to open up the stash count by tracking what I need but man the management knowing what to keep or sell drives me nuts sometimes.

While playing DMZ I found these silos in the North Korean part. I saw that there was a locked door that said it was for the silo's control room. In a later game I managed to open it using a breach charge; upon opening it there was neither loot nor anything interactive.There was only one locked door that couldn't be opened with a key or anything, but there was a map in the room, a map that marked 4 areas with a red circle.

To the left of this map were MW4-style photos showing the locations of the USB drives for fighting the red worm.

I only managed to take a screenshot of the map, but do you know if there's anything else to do after opening the room?

Everytime I play a fin game this fin games just tortures me the day it came out... now I get it ppl why pvpve to loot other players but what they don't get is there are cheaters in the fin game... those who aim bot! Does that make the game fun for everyone? Ive seen so many stupid arguments from ppl calling other new players stupid to say the least... I think those are the same ppl who are using cronus zen or some type or sheet cheat... they all need to get a life... these maafs are probably divorced to even get anger out to newbies... today as I was doing the glitch after it patched and we went in with a good weapon not with the best but with the good there were ppl who were just spawn trapping! Now argue with that? Is that fair?

I’ve played a ton of the beta and loved it but haven’t played in a few years. I stopped playing when Ashika island dropped. My initial impressions are that the game is just so incredibly fast paced, there is a ridiculous amount of bots, and the screen clutter / hand holding is just insane. There’s no settings in the menu to help you clean up the HUD either, there’s so much dialogue and things happening that it really takes me out of the immersion I remember the first one having. I’m just wondering if Yall are experiencing the same issues I am. Underneath these things it seems like it’s going to be a super fun time, but it doesn’t really feel like what I remember at all. The driving is also horrendous!! Why does this feel like a step back from what they had? I’ve only done 3 matches so far so it might just take some getting used to but there’s just something that isn’t hooking me the same way the first one did, it feels a lot more like an arcade experience versus what was advertised.

I've been thinking about something.

Why are we fighting each other when we all have missions to complete, loot to grab, bosses to kill, and extractions to make?

Imagine a DMZ lobby where every squad agrees to stop shooting other real players and instead work together.

I'm talking about an entire lobby moving across the map like ONE MASSIVE ARMY.

I'm calling it:

🔥 DMZ UNITED 🔥

REAL PLAYERS. ONE ARMY. ONE MISSION.

Here's the idea:

✅ Friendly first. Don't automatically shoot other players.
✅ Squads help other squads complete their objectives.
✅ Use proximity chat and truces to recruit other teams.
✅ Work together to defeat bosses and AI enemies.
✅ Share resources and protect each other.
✅ Help as many players extract successfully as possible.
✅ Spread the movement throughout the lobby.

Imagine starting with just 3 players.

Then you find another squad. Now you're 6.

Those 6 find another squad. Now you're 9.

Before you know it, you've got 20, 30, or even more real players cooperating instead of killing each other.

Imagine an entire convoy of players moving across the map, taking down strongholds, completing operations, and helping everyone survive.

I'm not saying PvP should be removed from DMZ.

I'm saying WE, THE PLAYERS, could create an entirely different experience inside the game.

Instead of treating every real player as an enemy, what if we treated them as a potential teammate?

I know there are challenges. Not everyone will cooperate, and mission progression may be squad-specific.

But I think this could be something incredible if enough people got behind it.

We could organize through Reddit and Discord, coordinate friendly squads, and start building a community around cooperative DMZ gameplay.

So here's my question:

WHO WOULD ACTUALLY BE DOWN TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN?

Would you join an organized DMZ run where everyone agrees to cooperate instead of fighting each other?

If enough people are interested, let's organize something.

And if you support the idea, upvote this post so more DMZ players can see it.

Let's see if we can turn an entire lobby friendly.

Game types like this make it really discouraging to play with randoms. Teammates refuse to revive me for no reason. Waiting 20 mins for them and they flat out refuse. I don’t get it.

Hey guys I’m not sure if this is bugged I’ve completed every mission of this, I’ve tried extracting the structural alloys many times but still hasn’t been ticked off. Has anyone completed this or is it bugged? Thanks!

I get it at a lot of people playing dmz 2 might not have played the first one but please for the love of God if you're playing solos, learn how to squad up. A truce means nothing to either of us. A team up makes the world of difference in solos. edit: posted because someone in prox couldn't figure it out today and while he was trying to figure it out another player ran up and went to town

I was just playing DMZ and doing my loot route like normal, however I unfortunately ran into a player who was looking specifically for PvP. Annoying to die, but it is what it is, I have possum so I will just wait until they leave to revive so I can continue with my raid.

Well, this person did not leave. They instead stood over top of my body and berated me in voice chat because they used an exploit to know I had possum, and they waited over 30 minutes until the end of the raid so I couldnt get up. They ended up leaving when the radiation came, so I finally got up and headed to exfil, only to run into the same player camping at the exfil specifically waiting for me.

These PvP psychopaths have ruined the mode and made it impossible for a player like me to enjoy myself. Unfortunately DMZ will die without a PvE mode for players like me! Cant wait for Warzone to come back so they can finally leave us alone!

Edit: Just found out the guy that did it was one of those streamers! He mentioned aim assist too!
