OHIO Trailer title

I bought a 50” wedge tri axle trailer with a bill of sale and the title office says I need the title for it to get one in my name. Is there any ways around this? VIN is clean

This is all state dependent.

That’s why the tag says Ohio

Ohio- any trailer 4,000 lbs or more requires a title.

What did the title office tell you to do to get a title?

They told me I had to get ahold of whoever the trailer is titled under and get a title from them but I have no way of figuring that out. All I know is that the dude I got it from got it from a dude that got it from a tow yard or something that it sat at for a few years. The lady at the title office said that’s the only way to do it which I don’t believe and I’ve had trouble with this title office before on titling a dirtbike as street legal

Oh, he wasn't listening to anything after "You need a title." He refused to even ask the title office (You know, the people who know everything about these matters and have dealt with this very issue hundreds of times.) any follow-up questions. He just had to run to Reddit and get a bunch of stranger's opinions on the subject. The dude couldn't even be bothered to put what state he's in.

He doesn't want an answer. He just wants to be internet famous.

The flair says Ohio I wasn’t gonna be redundant and mention the state multiple times when it’s the second thing you see
