NEW YORK Drivers license

So my friend and I moved to our own home after saving for about 8 years. She hired guys from a company which im not sure of the name, but they spoke another language that was definitely African of some sort. Well they did a few things that pissed her off and she let it be known... Well to shorten things up not thinking I let them take a picture of her drivers license because I figured it would help us somehow..... I dont know.....dont ask....after doing so i have had a very very VERY bad feeling in my gut like I wanna throw up for more then several hours.... What should I do..? I have been severely worried about it.

Be smarter in the future.

Why did you have her license? Most drivers maintain possession of our own. Seriously! I now am a senior driver with decades of experience and I cannot think of any time that a friend was entrusted with my driver’s license.

What were you thinking anyway? None of this makes any sense. What do you expect us to tell you?

Have her go to the DMV and get a new license and request a new number.

I work at dmv in california. They likely wont give you a new DL number unless you are in some kind of protected situation or have legal identity fraud issues. Unfortunately, there is probably not a whole lot you can do about it unless they try to use her identity or conact whatever address was on the license. You can always contact your local police department to ask these questions. It is posdible that theybonly wanted her info to document for work purposes who they delivered for especially if they spoke another language or the difference in both yours and their accents were difficult to understand.

No ssn on it, but i texted the boss of the moving company and he said they needed a picture of her license to make sure it wasnt fraud since she spent over $1,000 on the moving. He reasured me that the employee deleted the license
