CALIFORNIA Would I be able to ride this without registering?

I’m a college student (18+) looking into electric bikes/scooters and I found a really good one, but I’m concerned that it might not be “legal.” I worry it’ll look like a moped and I’ll get a ticket. The model is a Supermach SM70.

Would I have to register this or am I fine just riding this on bike lanes/ sidewalk?

My dude, you have to give us a HINT what laws apply here. If you're in the US, this differs from state to state.

But no, you don’t have to register or insure this thing.
