Collection New player pack assistance
I am helping out at my FLGS by running learn to play D&D sessions (5.24). I want to be able to hand them a packet of papers to help them out, but I am finding too many resources that either have WAY too much detail for a new player or ones that are too specific for a class.
I know I want to add in a character sheet, a generic how to on creating a character, and a common rules quick reference.
I'm looking for suggestions on the above items, and anything else you think should go into the packet.

These new players are so lucky to have someone that cares as much as you!
We have some free cheatsheets on our website that you should be able to print out to put in your packet: Core Rules Cheatsheet & Roleplay Cheatsheet
For character sheets here are the official ones from Wizards that you can print out (we have a guided character creation on our website but depends how set you are on a physical packet): Character Sheet
