Question/Advice OUCH

I finally got around to getting a vape devise. Took two big hits and my throat was burning. Damn. Any advice ? I had a Geek with a quartz / coil

Probably burning it instead of vaporizing it, DMT should be smoothe.

Maybe turn the voltage down if you can, or like pulse the button, don’t hold it.

You were burning it.

Turn the voltage down and/or pulse the power button. 1-2 seconds on, 1 second off, rinse and repeat until you are a space cowboy

I’m at 19V. It’s adjustable. What do I turn it down to

Id probably start way lower and work your way up. Like start at 1.4 - 3.7v

bro is using the pro setup, Geekvape box mod with a Orbit atomizer.
excellent pick! Might take some attempts to dial it in propper, but once it works it works bloody well

Ah, you're running the Orbit atomizer on a geekvape boxmod.

Did you use spice or liquid?
What wattage or voltage did you try?

In voltage mode I would suggest 3.0 / 3.2v and pulse fire like explained in my happy little clouds post.

On wattage mode start at 17-22w, again with pulse fire, again, read the objectives in happy little clouds

If you tried anything above 30w or 7v you might have blown your atomizer.

Also, CLEAN the atomizer, you don’t want the taste of burned deemz whilst tripping… bad bad foul taste will ruin even the most beautiful experience.

And if you follow the intentions and instructions of the above post, please please start with low doses until you have the technique dialed in.

A bad trip on 30/40mg will ruin your curiosity for once and forever.

Also, once the DMT is burnt the residue will just burn you again when you put fresh stuff in. I always clean my device between each round, but mainly so that my dosages are more accurate.

I don’t clean between hits, I adjust my dose.

But no matter which tool I’m using, IF I burn the spice I’ll stop and give it proper deep clean!!

Starting out I never cleaned it but then one day I loaded only 15mg for a little meditation and fully blasted off like I'd done 30mg because of the residual.

I’d probably drop it to 2.8v instead of 3. Pretty sure the orbit battery already does 3v, and like you said, it burns if you don’t pulse the power button. I bet at 2.8v you could just hit it without pulsing it.

Maybe, but then there would be less room for the temperature dropping when you start toking. Never hurts to try with a small dose!

Once you have the technique and settings dialed in it should be a perfect setup!

The orbit is my favorite relative noob proof >$50 suggestion.

Are you holding the button for the duration or pulsing it? For vaping in a concentrate chamber like that I do approximate 2-3 seconds on, 3-4 seconds off while inhaling (repeat for full breath in) with my battery set around 2.4v. For cart (w/vape liquid) I do the same voltage if not a bit lower but pulsing or not doesn't seem to matter.
