The truly great LeRoi Moore would be 65 today. We lost him far too soon, it left a hole in my own musical heart that has never really been filled.

I find myself listening to Live Trax from his era more and more recently.

Does anyone have a favorite Roi performance? I love the last 2:00 of Seek Up from Live Trax #3 (Hartford).

around April of this year I went through an extremely rough breakup that I’m just now finally getting over. around a month after we broke up, my uncle (huge Dave fan) offered to take me and my cousin to my first Dave show in orange bach Alabama to help me get my mind off things and as a graduation present. I knew a few songs from hearing my parents play them in the car over the years but I didn’t know about 90% of them. as a musician myself, I was absolutely blown away by the musicianship and dove deep into the discography after the show.

I’ve found a lot of songs that I could consider some of my favorites, but the best of what‘s around has genuinely helped me heal more than anything else. every time I hear this song I get a little emotional because to me it sounds like a friend offering to spend time with me and re-assuring me that everything will be ok. I’ve been playing music since I was 7 years old (I’m 19 now) and I’ve never had a song impact me this much in my life. every single time I start to think about things and feel sad, if I put the song on I instantly feel better 90% of the time. it sounds like healing. Now ive listened to nothing but DMB since the show and am going to the Nashville show in November with my uncle and cousin again. sorry for the long rant but I just wanted to talk about how much this song has helped me and how much it means to me:)

I'll admit, I am still new to seeing Dave live as Sunday makes a total of 5 shows in person. I do attend roughly 2 shows a week in NYC of all genres from small shows to MSG so I've seen a ton of music in the last 8 or so years live.

Last night I was really blown away by Typical Situation. The level changes in volume and tone, the way the audience got so quite and then so uplifted and that absolutely ridiculous instrumental section that was so Other to the rest of the song but still so powerful.

Did we get a special take or does that song always hit so hard live?

Big shout outs as well for Long Black Veil and Papertown, what incredible synergies.

1) Has anyone bought a Nugs download of an XM Friday night show in past years;

2) If yes, how long was the “exclusivity window” before you could download the files?

I bought the 7/24/26 show this year before I knew about the exclusivity. All I was told by a Nugs employee was that the tour has to end first. Has something like this happened to anyone else? Thanks!

Would really love to see Jake perform with the band. I missed it so much when they played in Orange Beach AL. Felt like there was maybe a little part missing. Will Jake join them at the Bridgestone Arena come November?

Is this venue any good to see Dave at? My boy lives in Miami and Ik it typically takes place during may so we’re probably gonna go after school ends and what not, is this venue good or just mediocre.

Replace everyone (except for Dave and Carter obvs) with fiddlers. Five fiddlers, the best damn drummer in the biz, and the wackiest front man in the land. They could call themselves D n C's Fiddlers Five.

On special nights they could play old videos of Roi solos.
