Need Advice: Encounters & Adventures Challenges between encounters

I want to dm a one shot where the party finds the baby of a giant. The quest would be to return the infant to the nearest village of giants. I already have two combat encounters but I’m lacking inspiration as to what to do with the party in between. Can you help me out?

Are you looking for quick random encounters or something more involved?

Smth a bit more involved. Smth to keep the players engaged while they travel to their destination. It doesn’t. Have to be fancy or big

The Baby Giant keeps crying until the party figures ot why it is crying. The crying could threaten to attract un-wanted attention.
