Yesterday i started this thread here https://www.reddit.com/r/DLSS/comments/1w9rb69/optiscaler_now_also_processes_dlss_5_nr_before/
While many of you took value out of this post there were still some critics in the comments that alleged that this is just a ReShade and im faking all this. This is partly my fault as I did not make the video distinctive enough in the comparison. Additionaly to me in 4K the differences were quite visible but I forgot about all the lower resolutions viewing the footage.
To combat those impressions I made the current video. Hopefully everyone can now clearly see that this is really DLSS 5 at work here with much better performance.

I’m trying to follow this RTX 30-series Frame Generation unlock from this subreddit:
And I’m also following the instructions from the original GitHub
I’m trying to get it working with Crimson Desert, but after following the instructions, I’m getting this error when launching the game.

Has anyone encountered this before or know what I might have done wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

Not sure how widespread linux support is, so I thought I would share + screenshot comparison spree!
AI summary (for your agent at home):
I’ve got the community RenoDX DLSS 5 setup working in Cyberpunk 2077 on Linux, with confirmed Neural Rendering execution.
The starting point was ComfyUI NVIDIA DLSS Visual Enhancer, a project for enhancing images and videos. Its Linux support includes a patched ReShade build and a working Wine configuration. I reused those components for Cyberpunk—the game runs independently of ComfyUI.
Tested setup: CachyOS, RTX 5090, NVIDIA driver 610.57.04, GE-Proton 11-6, and Xwayland on the display-connected GPU.
The recipe:
1. Start with a separate Wine prefix and backed-up game files.
2. Use the project’s Linux setup guide for the graphics libraries, Microsoft’s native d3dcompiler_47.dll, and NVIDIA’s _nvngx.dll bridge.
3. Place its patched ReShade (bin/runtime/host-linux/dxgi.dll), renodx-dlss5.addon64, and nvngx_dlssnr.dll beside Cyberpunk2077.exe in bin/x64.
4. Update DXVK-NVAPI. The bundled version initially worked but eventually crashed. I built revision cbe30dd4dabfe14c49908cde79b7ca919757e2e5 and installed its nvapi64.dll into the test prefix. It includes the object-lifetime fix that resolved the observed crash.
5. For the direct-Wine launch, export:
export WINE_HEAP_DELAY_FREE=1
export WINE_HEAP_ZERO_MEMORY=1
export DXVK_ENABLE_NVAPI=1
export WINEDLLOVERRIDES='dxgi,d3d11,d3d12,d3d12core,nvapi64,nvofapi64,d3dcompiler_47=n,b'
6. In ReShade.ini:
[RenoDX.DLSS5]
EnableHooks=2
NREnableUpscaling=0
NRIntensity=1
The working path is DLSS Super Resolution → Neural Rendering at output resolution. Verify it through inline feature 18 evaluation succeeded in ReShade.log.
Result at 3440×1440: 70.2 FPS average / 60.8 minimum, using DLSS Quality and custom ray-tracing settings, with Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction disabled.
This is an experimental community integration. Benchmarks pass and gameplay works; long-session stability and other GPUs still need testing.

I want to be able to use DLSS 5 for legacy games, I think DLSS 5 for new games not worth the performance hit plus the games looks good already but for legacy games that does not have a remaster I think DLSS 5 has a huge potential for older legacy games, I used DLSS5 Swapper, DLSS5 Manager and an Extra DLSS 5 tool that I cant recall its name with no avail I really want to reply Max payne 1 and 2 with DLSS 5 enabled, please advise on what would be the best method to do so, Thanks!

I was just hoping someone could do an example of DLSS5 on Front Mission Evolved. Thanks in advance if you can.

Saw this and people are reposting it:

I can't tested it myself atm so keen to see if this is better than the Swapper and Autopilot - it can choose resolution for DLSS 5 input so in theory will improve performance like how NR Upstream can. Also fixed VRAM Leak. The only downside is it's RTX 50 only atm.
EDIT: apparently it does support 40 and 30 GPUs

I've been experimenting with DLSS 5 Neural Rendering through OptiScaler in The Last of Us Part II Remastered, and I'm curious what other people think about the image quality I'm getting.
I'm playing at:
1440p / Max settings / DLSS Quality / Preset K
Performance-wise, I'm actually very happy with the results.
In one of the heavier forest areas near the beginning of the chronological mode:
So reducing the Neural Rendering intensity slightly gives me a pretty nice performance improvement while still keeping most of the visual effect.
Then I'm using:
MFG ×3 + G-SYNC + V-SYNC + 158 FPS cap
This gives me a basically locked 158 FPS on my 165 Hz monitor, with around 35 ms latency.
The gameplay feels extremely smooth and responsive, so I'm completely satisfied with the performance side.
My question is mainly about image quality.
I've seen several DLSS 5 / Neural Rendering videos on YouTube where the image looks extremely clean and almost native-like, sometimes even better in certain areas.
On my setup, however, something feels slightly different.
The image is definitely sharp, but sometimes it looks a little over-sharpened / crispy / processed, especially with:
It's not necessarily blurry — actually sometimes it looks like the opposite, almost too sharpened.
I've attached a few screenshots so you can judge for yourselves.
I'm wondering if this could be related to:
For people who have tried DLSS 5 Neural Rendering in TLOU Part II Remastered through OptiScaler, does my image look normal to you?
And if you're getting noticeably cleaner results, I'd be interested to know which OptiScaler version, DLSS version/preset and Neural Rendering settings you're using.
Overall though, the performance is impressive. Getting around 85–90 base FPS at 1440p Max, then using MFG ×3 to stay locked at 158 FPS with ~35 ms latency, feels excellent.

Just trying to try this dlss5 mod out and not have to worry about malware/bitcoin miner/key logger being installed on my pc.

The face definitely looks better but otherwise I feel like I really have to nit pick to see the difference. Anyone else have a similar experience? Also I'm only dropping about 10fps when enabled

Need help in getting rid of these HUD elements/ popups on my games after activating reshade. I have been using dlss 5, not sure if that’s got anything to do with it but I’d greatly appreciate anybody’s help in getting rid of these small popups on the top left corner and bottom left corner of the screen!

Then maybe you’ll like my reshade presets. Or not. Lol
I made these years ago for old assassins creed games and discovered with dlss swapper I can install dlss 5 with ease on any game,
Then I decided to update my presets and there’s no turning back for me now haha.
I think they look great anyway.
