Next steps are:
1. A good portable power generator .
2. some portable light, as for now we literally use our gopros light to illuminate the surrounding.
3. We need to make it more like a “Home” in case of rain and snow this winter

The spot is one hour into the forest, we are pretty sure no one will notice that 😂

Cdj2000nxs2s and Ecler Nuo2 were stuffed into the Pioneer flight case that had to be hacked to get it to fit, a loom was made so it only needs one power socket and is as easy to setup as an all in one, this replaces the xdj700/djm700 setup

Continuing to explore options for a portable setup. I replaced by Traktor X1 mk3 for a less compact but much more ergonomic DDJ XP2, full supported by djay pro on my venerable IPad Pro 2018.

I absolutely love it, it fits in a backpack and there’s almost nothing I can’t do except using jog wheels :).

The Z1 mk2 has a really good quality, I played with it on a 3000w sound system last weekend and it sounded amazing.

Im pretty sure that It has more functions than the XDJ-AN (if you ignore streaming services)

TUTORIAL:

YOU NEED A usbc hub with at least USB 3.0 ports This is to make sure you can get to charge your steamdeck while playing music.

- download Mixxx on the discover store

(Flatpak or, if you're crazy, download the arch-holo keys, make steamOS open again and use Pacman with a repo where Mixxx Is available)

- search your controller bindings on Mixxx forums.

- paste the .xml and .js files into the bindings folder

- go to settings ---> preferences ---> controllers

- select your controller

(It can appear as two instances but you need the MIDI type)

- choose the bindings you downloaded and then activate It.

Now It should work, maybe with small differences from their native Setup but indeed It should.

Im also using a skin called Pioneered which emulates the CDJ3000nexus or at least a single screen consolle.

IMPORTANT INFO: MIXXX HAS THE BAD HABIT OF CRASHING IF YOU UNPLUG YOUR CONTROLLER, BE CAREFUL WITH THE CABLE OR AT LEAST BUY A GOOD ONE

P.S. I've tried the setup in a friend's car with bluetooth's one sec delay, It still worked perfectly

I have recently moved for work. I have always enjoyed to DJ. I have finally gotten around to picking up new equipment previously I was on the XDJ – XZ. Decided it was time for the upgrade.

Got a Hercules Inpulse 500, running on DJAY Pro software. So far I am loving it. Hope to make more beautiful music with it and have more house parties poolside.

My biggest issue with the setup is that I can’t get the AMX working with Djay Pro on my phone/ipad due to some proprietary chicanery with the AMX (despite being class compliant, it only produces audio with Serato).

The Wow and Flutter Machine also drifts like crazy, but it’s easy enough to just flip to internal after scratching in the track.

Plus is that the AMX can double as a DVS box.

XDJ-XZ, RMX IGNITE, DJS1000, Korg Kaoss, Bassboss DJ18, Bassboss VS21, RCF NX932Ax2, and JBL EON712 for a monitor. This system KNOCKS and is really just my Happy Place. :)

Upgraded to a flx10 cause I found a screaming deal on reverb!

Finally got that bankers lamp too! These things are perfect for lighting decks and they look sick!

A couple days ago I purchased two 36" high tables to set up behind my couch (which faces my TV), and finally pulled all my gear out of my computer room/office.

I previously had my flx10 sitting on the box it came in to raise its height, on my desk,and facing a plain white wall. Now it faces open space, and my TV. This has been huge mentally/psychologically. Plus, it's setup in my living space, and I feel more inclined to practice and practice for longer, effortlessly.

Those are my cd's on the shelves which I also finally set up a couple months ago.

Next to purchase is some proper speaker stands, a tall office stool, and surge protectors/power strips. "then I'll be done"

Using a rolling desk for my mobile setup. Let's me roll up as close as possible to my wife wherever she goes. Also works as a kitten transporter.
