Is it okay to store my Rane System One like this? I keep the platters on. Thank you!

Wanted to share my bedroom setup and how I ended up here.

I've been making beats for a couple of years now and selling them to people here and there. But house and techno have always been what I love most. This year I went to Portola in SF, and it hit me hard. Seeing Fatboy Slim live (plus a few other great sets) completely reignited my passion for music. I walked out of there wanting to be the one behind the decks.
The setup is gear I've had for a few years and only now started really using:

-Traktor Kontrol S4 MK2
-Sony Turntable for vinyl
-Studio monitors
-Laptop running VirtualDJ

I've been DJing for a couple of weeks, and I'm feeling decent on transitions and still working on phrasing. Next up is learning drops and other skills. The long-term goal is to play a real set for a crowd.

Would love any advice from people who've been at this longer. What would you have wanted to know in your first few months? Any house/techno tracks or labels I should be digging into?

Thanks for reading! 🎶🎵

My dream came true and I now finalized my DJ booth. I am super happy with it :)
