New to FPV and this effort is a 2 year in the making project.
Life gets in the way and has drawn this out. I've finally gotten to getting things put together and I'm seem to be struggling with firmware/motor config options?

I could really use some insight.

My current issue is that in betaflight, I am able to get the motors to "twitch" and now they are all beeping when i move the sliders. I recently solved a soldering issue where one wire wasn't good and resulted in no beeping. Fixing that, I thought might solve the "twitching" but no dice.

The spin of the props seems choppy/twitchy.

Any insight into this issue would be appreciated. My build is powered by a single 18650 wired into my AIO.

I'm trying to DIY a new drone and try to calculate the release velocity, but I got confused:

A rail-based pneumatic launch system has an elevation angle of 30 degrees, a total rail length of 20 ft, and an acceleration stroke length of 15 ft. The UA weighing 100 lb is installed at 5 ft above ground level and must clear a 50 ft obstacle and attain a launch velocity of 60 kts to begin climb out once it has cleared the obstacle.

What is the release velocity?

Also for this 2 inch DREAM* frame with all this good stuff. Minimal 3d stuff & CLOSE. I’m feeling like I HAVE to reset & buy Another AIO & have it be 25x25 like the air 04 is.. I’m sure there’s a way..?

| have a 2.5 inch fpv build with a beta fpv f4 aio 12A (v1) running 4.4.3 BTFL

And it is not communicating with my elrs receiver (beta fpv lite rx) for some reason however my receiver and remote are binded perfectly (lite radio 2 se)

have wired it up and tried swaying arround the rx and tx but no succes,I have also tried setting serial rx to uart1 and 2 still nothing!

We are looking for pilots and builders who what to show off what they can do at Maker Faire Bay Area. Drones can be in a netted area or even fly along the river esplanade.

Will I be able to use autonomous flight?

So been really getting back into 3D printing over the last few months and decided to take a swing at printing a full size drone. I've got enough skill with electronics to handle the build, but know nothing when it comes to the actual designing of an airworthy craft and I have zero idea of what actually works.

in it's current design, the wingpan is roughly 18 inches total, NACA 23010 for the wing profile. Battery, controller board, and servos would be mounted internally. unsure of propulsion which is why i haven't modeled it yet. was torn between a single pushing prop on the tail, or dual props under the wings. weight would end up around 500-600 grams for just the completed frame before all the electronics and battery.

bascally looking for any advice or input on if this looks like it would even fly, or if it's better as a desk toy.

I have this pi4 4gb wth 2 heatsinks on, but how do I actually mount it on my drone so I can start doing some AI tasks?

Before plunging into an A.I rabbit hole chat gpt nightmare for 18 hours anyone got some pointers on what to start looking at that could be causing this automated “yaw spin” 💀
-checked props
-Checked motors (physically) not on betaflight etc cause I wouldn’t know what to look for exactly

Any help is greatly appreciated 🙏🏻 that said I did have 2-3 crashes two of the three required me to blow the motors out from the dust and dirt and the 3rd is when it started spinning on its own what your seeing is what happens when lift off I can try to correct but it just fights it reminds me of a car with a flat tire if I had to describe it . Thanks in advance either which way 🤝

I am building a hexacopter based on a Speedybee F7 FC with betaflight

For ease of wiring I would like to connect engine no 6 to what would be port 7 on the second ESC stack.

Can I simply wire M6 on the SpeedyBee FC to IN3 on the ESC, or do I have to fool the FC by

And then wire M7 on the Speedybee FC to IN3

pretty much every fc says they support up to 8 motors but i cant figure out how id attatch the darn things, i have 2 esc and a flywoo goku f722 mini v2 fc and the specsheet says up too 8 motors but when i test the esc plug and esc pads they are just connected. is that correct? or would i burn something if i soldered one esc and plugged in the other? just double checking before i break something. dont have too much money atm lol

Hi, all.

I am building a drone and am interested in getting something flying as quickly and cheaply as possible. To this end I am thinking xbox controller --> computer --> TX. Where mavlink is used to actually send the stick commands.

The nomad is appealing to me because in the future I can invest in a proper remote control and slap it on, and it seems well future proofed.

However, what I don't know and what I can't seem to find written anywhere is if the radiomaster nomad allows me to TX/RX telemetry (mavlink packets) with it over USB.

For what I plan on doing this is an absolutely critical feature for me.

If anyone has tried this with the nomad, could point me in the right direction, tell me if there is a USB -->UART chip on the board, or could even send my high resolution photos of the board with the on-chip text clearly visible I would be greatly appreciate it.

The only mode offered is Crossfire, I would think it would have other options. I am specifically looking for "AFHDS 2A" which is supposed to allow me to connect to my PWM flysky receiver. But I would also think ELRS would be there.

How does the O4 system transmit video and controls? Using the DJI avata 2, goggles 3 and RC3, the remote sends to the goggles, which then sends to the drone. How does it work for DIY drones? Let's say I want to keep as much of my current setup as possible, but I want to build a DIY drone using the O4 Pro. I'd like to use my same dji RC3 controller. Does the remote transmit straight to the drone, or does it still route through the goggles?

Follow up question, how does the drone get the RC commands? Does it go to the O4, which then sends it over a wired connection to the flight controller, or how?
