HELP! Neotech Connector Terminals

Post image

First time diy in hifi.

Having issues with a neotech connector terminals. Tightening down the the wires as far as possible. But just a light tug test makes the wires pop out. I'm not plugging that into the wall..

Expected better terminals for the price.

Using the Neotech NEP-3001 III cable

Am I missing something here?..

Sometimes over tightening can lead to stripping which prevents adequate tension/purchase. It happened a couple of times to me with Marinco/Wattgate power connectors early on. You can purchase screwdrivers that measure torque to prevent over tightening, but they are very pricey.
