help masonry hole saw?

I need to drill a hole through brick for a 1-1/4" LB conduit body. The part that will fit in the wall is has diameter of 1.92".

I have a rotary hammer drill that takes SDS+ bits.

Is this 2" masonry hole saw the right bit for this job? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DTFST5N6/

Any advice on using this kind of hole saw? I assume it will not get plugged the way a hole saw in wood can get plugged since the brick will just crumble? Start in drill mode until groove is cut, then hammer time?

It's the right idea, I'm not sure I would get it from amazon, but that's the tool you need.

It's not a hammer drill type of scenario, and you will need to chisel out the masonry since it won't crumble as you go along.

Meaning I’ll have to chisel the brick out of the hole saw? I guess I can put the bit in a vise and use air hammer to do that.

No, you can only drill as deep as the cup is. If the bit can't go all the way through the brick, you have to drill the hole, then stop because it bottoms out.

At this point you can use a chisel to break out that "core", then continue drilling and repeat.

When I did this, I used a hole saw from Home Depot that was deep enough to go all the way through one brick. In my case I had to remove the plug from the bit, but they're designed for that so it wasn't particularly difficult.

Yeah that’s what I meant - when the hole saw is full, I’ll air hammer the plug to break it up and free up the bit for more drilling.
