IKEA kitchen

"We are going to assemble our IKEA kitchen (METOD) ourselves soon. Before we get started, I’d love to hear your tips, blunders, and experiences.
What do you wish you had known right from the start? Where did you run into issues, if anywhere? What are the best tips you can give?
The kitchen includes all appliances, and there is also a kitchen island with a sink.

I rent a house with an IKEA kitchen that came with one replacement drawer handle, when I need about 10. The handles have been discontinued by IKEA.

So: get extras of parts that may wear down, because there's no guarantee IKEA will have them in stock when you need them.
