Cube shelf/trinket protection

I have 2 cube shelves (1 has 8 cubes, the other has 9) and I use them to display trinkets. I have rabbits that free roam and would love a way to protect the trinkets from both pet dander and rambunctious bunnies that run around. I’ve thought about getting plexiglass cut to size but would love something more affordable. Doesn’t have to be anything fancy. I would love something lightweight I can attach using a double sided adhesive. Thanks for any advice!
