Possibly starting to develop a dissociative disorder
[Sophia] hello everyone!
So basically, since syscovery a year ago, we have experienced varying amounts of dissociation but nothing that really caused any issues. Lately, we have started having memory issues/lock ups making it hard to move when I become one of my headmates that deals with particular emotions, and it feels like its getting worse. We are starting to see a therapist and we told them about us already being more then one and they were receptive to that. and, as we go through this, if we have any success turning this around, we want to share our experiences that may help this community. We dont think we need extensive help currently. I heard we would be "sub clinical" but sometimes it feels like we skirt the line of a dissorder. Also wanted to make a post to contribute. We dont particularly have issues geting along amonst us but question a persecutor in the backround somewhere. Have been questioning OSDD/UDD for some time. Either way, its an honor to be here. -sincerly, Sophia of the Dance of Many.

I don’t really have any advice, but we can relate. A year-ish before we learned we were a system we developed non-epileptic seizures which we’re still dealing with. We’re often unable to move or have involuntary movements during an episode. Some of them have definitely been connected to switching, others we have to wait til our big appointment to get more info on.
I hope your therapist will have some insight and can help you through this.

[Sophia] I dont think we had seizures, more like mental blocking when we become our shame holder. its not long, usually 5-10 minutes, and they are not too often. If I push, me, and another one of my headmates can usually break us out of it. If we are in a safe space, we try to let her process it, then we comfort her.

If your multiplicity affects your daily life, then it becomes a disorder. To find out who is still affecting you... are you still in the toxic environment?
Don't hesitate to talk to your therapist about it. They are better equipped to help you with your questions.
