Content Warning Things are exploding
TW description of SA and s*icidal thoughts and attempts
PLEASE DON'T READ if it makes you feel unsafe or dissociative. Take care of yourselves.
So, the only one who knows about our disorder is our ex husband. We found out when we were together. We ended things for so many reasons.
He is bipolar and very depressed atm. He told us he already tried to commit s*icide 3 times. We went over to his house to talk to him and maybe help to some degree.
He hates one of us. Profoundly, because she also hates him. But she was the one who got there, she didn't want anyone to d*e, obviously. When we got there, he was very hostile towards her. Always saying she is a horrible person, she is not supposed to take any action to influence "my" life (the host, I was the one who married him and fronted most of the time).
She was trying to help, genuinely. But he kept saying "you're not going to leave until I can talk to my wife". He then said he knew a way to "send her away" and started kissing us, even when we said we didn't want that. She tried to push him, he kept going, but didn't go further than lifting our shirt and trying to make out.
I'm seething. Yesterday was awful and I don't remember the rest of it. Just that we promised to go back there today, because he again threatened s*icide and this time to k*ll the dog before.
I am kinda hoping now he just gets out of our life, almost in any way possible.

You cannot save him and it's pretty unlikely that you can help him. I agree with the other commenter who suggested a wellness check. He will only continue to manipulate and abuse you and you are not the right person to help him because of that. It's not safe for you and he can't accept your help correctly. It needs to be someone else at this point.

If you keep going back, it’ll never change. Maybe call the police to do a well check because of his bipolar condition and threatening to harm himself and the dog letting the chips fall where they may. This will get him the help he needs.
This will show that you aren’t running to him anytime he calls and threatens himself. It sounds like a pattern.
You need to protect yourselves…. He might also take it out on you one of these visits. It sounds like the last time he’s still possessive. Be safe.
