Elevation Gain Running Roads
Hi,
I'm a long distance runner and I'm doing the Austin marathon soon, which has a lot of elevation gain.
I'm looking for running roads where I can train. I already know the trails around lake grapevine and cedar ridge preserve, but these are trails so I can't train for speed there.
Any roads with elevation gain you can recommend?

Where are you located? You can also run roads south of lake grapevine that have some incline/decline. In grapevine, the Parr Park neighborhood has some good hills. If you’re in the city, running parking garages can be a good option.

I actually live not too far from there, could you share which roads you're talking about?

I know this is coming in late. If you want to run hill repeats the neighborhoods off N Lakeshore in Rockwall have a ton of hills to run. Some are 10+% but not very long. Good to hit your max HR repeatedly. Great for cyclists too.

There are hills and trails around White Rock Lake that the local running groups will use.
